We believe that high-performing teams drive groundbreaking medical discoveries and invite all applicants to join us and experience what it means to be part of Mass General Brigham.</p> <p>Job Summary</p> <p>Under General supervision and according to established methods, assembles, prepares and otherwise readies for service a quantity of foods such as salads, sandwiches, desserts, fruits, etc. Assembles and packages breads, silverware and other items for both patient and cafeteria service.</p> <p>Qualifications</p> <p>ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:</p> <ol> <li> <p>Sets up service area for tray assembly line. Works at assigned station during line service. Places food items on tray following patient menu requests and portion servings.</p> </li><li> <p>Prepares and delivers all late trays to floors.</p> </li><li> <p>Prepares special items such as frappes, special drinks and puddings following recipes.</p> </li><li> <p>Bakes cookies, pies, muffins and special hors d'oeuvres items for cafeteria and catering.</p> </li><li> <p>Assists in the setup, delivery and pickup of catered functions.</p> </li><li> <p>Assists cooks in food preparation, such as, cutting vegetables, dicing and measuring vegetables.</p> </li><li> <p>Maintains safe, clean and sanitized work area and kitchen equipment according to department standards.</p> </li><li> <p>Operates dishwasher, unloads and stores clean dishware in proper place.</p> </li><li> <p>Serves and picks up patient trays by using food trucks to patient floors.</p> </li><li> <p>Demonstrates the knowledge and skills necessary to provide service appropriate to the age of the patients served in the department.</p> </li></ol> <p>EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:</p> <p>High school graduate or equivalent. Must read and speak English.</p> <p>WORKING CONDITIONS:</p> <p>Stands the entire shift.
