<p>Position Summary</p> <p>This position will provide administrative support for the Secretary and other staff in the Office of the Secretary. In close coordination with the other Executive Staff Assistant, this position oversees the management of highly sensitive information and tasks related to tax administration, state and local government finance, and the Lottery and has extensive contact with the media and public officials including the Governor's Office, other agency Secretary's Offices, legislators, bureau/office/institutions directors, Division Administrators, federal, local, county and tribal officials, and constituents. Duties include scheduling high-level meetings in coordination with internal and external stakeholders including numerous consumer and advocacy groups and developing and maintaining a monitoring system to assure that assignments and communications are completed as scheduled.</p> <p>To see the full list of duties view the position description.</p> <p>Salary Information</p> <p>The starting pay rate for this position is between $28.00 - $32.00 per hour depending on experience and qualifications.</p> <p>The classification of this position is Executive Staff Assistant, which is in Pay Schedule 81, Pay Range 04. Pay will be set in accordance with the State of Wisconsin Compensation Plan in effect at the time of hire. Starting pay for current state employees may vary based on applicable provisions in the Compensation Plan.</p> <p>Job Details</p> <p>Background Checks: Due to the nature of this position, final candidates will be subject to criminal background, fingerprint, and tax compliance checks.</p> <p>I-9 Requirements: Applicants must be legally authorized to work in the United States (i.e., a citizen or national of the U.S., a lawful permanent resident, an alien authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship) at the time of appointment. The Department of Revenue does not sponsor work or student visas and is not an eligible OPT employer for those with F1 visas. DOR participates in E-Verify and will provide the federal government with Form I-9 information for all new employees to confirm authorization to work in the U.S.</p> <p>Probationary Period: A 12-month probation period may be required.</p> <p>Remote Work/Telework: After probation for new hires and demonstrated proficiency, this position may occasionally work remotely with prior supervisor approval. When remote work is allowed, it is intended to be performed in the State of Wisconsin and is subject to change based on business needs.</p> <p>Qualifications</p> <p>Minimally qualified applicants will have experience in all the following:</p> <ul> <li>Providing administrative support (e.g., scheduling meetings and appointments, documenting minutes for meetings, developing and maintaining electronic/paper filing systems, editing communications, following up on inquiries, making travel arrangements) </li><li>Utilizing the full range of Microsoft Office 365 productivity software (e.g. Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams, OneDrive, etc.). </li><li>Utilizing office automation techniques and software such as SharePoint, OneNote or similar applications. </li></ul> <p>In addition to the above, well qualified applicants will have experience in any of the following:</p> <ul> <li>Providing administrative support to executive-level staff (e.g. administrator, director, secretary, chief executive officer, etc.). </li><li>Managing complicated and dynamic schedules that are in flux and can change with little notice </li><li>Responding to inquiries and preparing communications for executive-level staff. </li><li>Working with data </li></ul> <p>How To Apply</p> <p>To be considered for this position, you will need to complete the online application.
