Driven and detail-oriented buyer responsible for purchasing foodservice vendor approved products. Processing purchase orders, receiving confirmation orders, working with logistics on up-to-date tracking. Maintain inventory of days on hand and establish service levels satisfactory. Analyzing current market trends, management of slow and unused product. Functions as a team member with vendor suppliers, brokers and staffing within the department and organization. Merchandise product lines to assure growth with the sales department.</p> <p>Job Responsibilities:</p> <ul> <li>Merchandise through emails/videos to our sales department </li><li>Communicate with sales on shorts/out of stocks </li><li>Working with inventory department to ensure accuracy </li><li>Manage split cases of inventory in warehouse storage </li><li>Assist in produce audits to ensure quality for high priority customer orders </li><li>Work with the quality assurance department to assure the best quality; additionally foodservice products in cooler temperature zone areas </li><li>Performs other related duties as assigned. </li></ul> <p>Required Qualifications</p> <p>High School Diploma/GED or Equivalent Experience</p> <p>1 - 2 years purchasing or related area</p> <p>Preferred Qualifications</p> <p>Bachelor's Degree: Business, supply chain or related area</p> <p>2 - 4 years purchasing or related area within foodservice industry</p> <p>Prior Warehouse experience in different temperature zones</p>
