<p>Summary</p> <p>Reports to the Director of Health and Fitness. Under the general supervision of the Member Experience Coordinator, is responsible for performing functions of the laundry room.</p> <p>MISSION, VALUES and SERVICE GOALS</p> <ul> <li>MISSION: We deliver outstanding care, inspire health, and connect with heart. </li><li>VALUES: Trust. Be on their team. </li></ul> <p>Performs laundry duties, minor maintenance, cleaning and securing the BHF by:</p> <ul> <li>Maintain adequate supplies of items such as: cups, towels and laundry room cleaning and drying supplies. </li><li>Following emergency procedures as outlined in operations manual. </li><li>Applying and enforcing BHF rules and regulations, as directed. </li><li>Receiving complaints, comments, and/or suggestions from clients and promptly taking appropriate actions; utilizing BHF's seek-to-serve policy. </li><li>Maintaining adequate supplies of items such as: cups, towels, toiletries, forms, brochures, schedules, snack items, pro-shop items, computer supplies, etc. </li><li>Performing regularly scheduled light cleaning maintenance duties, i.e., vacuuming, dusting, collection of towels, glass cleaning, wiping sinks and countertops, refilling amenities (e.g., soaps, shampoos, deodorants, etc.) along with general cleanup. </li><li>Folding and maintaining towel supplies in locker rooms and preparing soiled towel carts. </li><li>Monitoring inventory of laundry room supplies. </li><li>Opening and/or closing and securing BHF at scheduled time when needed, or as directed otherwise. </li><li>Sort all linens. Load all laundry into washer and add specified cleaning agent. Take wet, clean items and dry as directed. Sort, fold or hang clean dried items. </li><li>Maintain inventory of all cleaning supplies and communicate needs to Members Experience Coordinator. </li><li>Maintains all laundry equipment and inform Members Experience Coordinator as to any maintenance needs. </li><li>Perform additional laundry services when necessary. </li><li>Remove/restock towels in locker rooms and cleaning of locker rooms as needed. </li></ul> <p>Performs other functions to maintain personal competence and contribute to the overall effectiveness of the department by:</p> <ul> <li>Completing other job-related duties and projects as assigned. </li></ul> <p>ORGANIZATIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES</p> <p>Associate complies with the following organizational requirements:</p> <ul> <li>Attends and participates in department meetings and is accountable for all information shared. </li><li>Completes mandatory education, annual competencies and department specific education within established timeframes. </li><li>Completes annual employee health requirements within established timeframes. </li><li>Maintains license/certification, registration in good standing throughout fiscal year. </li><li>Direct patient care providers are required to maintain current BCLS (CPR) and other certifications as required by position/department. </li><li>Consistently utilizes appropriate universal precautions, protective equipment, and ergonomic techniques to protect patient and self. </li><li>Adheres to regulatory agency requirements, survey process and compliance. </li><li>Complies with established organization and department policies. </li><li>Available to work overtime in addition to working additional or other shifts and schedules when required. </li></ul> <p>Commitment to Beacon's six-point Operating System, referred to as The Beacon Way:</p> <ul> <li>Leverage innovation everywhere. </li><li>Cultivate human talent. </li><li>Embrace performance improvement. </li><li>Build greatness through accountability. </li><li>Use information to improve and advance. </li><li>Communicate clearly and continuously. </li></ul> <p>Education and Experience</p> <ul> <li>The knowledge, skills and abilities as indicated below are acquired through the successful completion of a high school diploma or equivalent is preferred. Must be a minimum of 17 years of age. No previous experience required. </li></ul> <p>Knowledge & Skills</p> <ul> <li>Demonstrates the interpersonal skills and communication skills (both verbal and written) necessary to interact effectively with a diverse group of internal callers, clients, visitors, etc. in a professional, courteous, friendly and sincere manner. </li><li>Requires certification in CPR or arrangements to be certified within three months of employment. </li><li>Requires the ability to work flexible hours, including weekends. </li><li>Possesses a personal commitment to positive fitness and health practices and presents an image consistent with a fit and healthy lifestyle. </li></ul> <p>Working Conditions</p> <ul> <li>Works in an athletic club environment with frequent interruptions, potential of increased noise level and some discomfort due to cool temperatures. </li></ul> <p>Physical Demands</p> <ul> <li>Requires the physical ability and stamina to perform the essential functions of the position. </li><li>Must be able to lift 20 pounds on a consistent basis. </li></ul>
