<p>Salary Range: $22.95 - $35.27 /hour. Actual compensation may vary based on geographic location, work experience, skill level, and education.</p> <p>The Scheduling Specialist II assists in the coordination of Patient Procedure/Surgical schedule.</p> <ul> <li>The Specialist II collaborates in the management and scheduling of complex surgical procedures that may require multiple appointments, as well as add-ons and emergent procedures, facilitating communication between patients, physicians, multiple Organization departments, and sta? members. </li><li>Collaborates with Insurance Verification Specialists and assists with the authorization process. </li><li>Coordinates with patients in the scheduling of pre-procedure diagnostic tests and clearances, treatment plans and cycles. </li><li>Creates patient itineraries and makes changes as requested. </li><li>Responsible for clerical support, patient registration ?ling, data entry, preparation of patient charts and other clerical duties as assigned. </li><li>Assists with the master schedule for procedures and coordinates case resource needs. </li><li>Interacts directly with patients and works in a high call volume environment. </li><li>Participates in the continuous quality improvement processes. </li><li>Maintains a working knowledge of departmental standard operating procedures, including the use of specialized instrumentation, Quality Control requirements, and preventative maintenance. </li><li>Maintains con?dentiality. </li><li>Performs other duties as assigned. </li></ul> <p>Education and Experience</p> <ul> <li>High School Graduate or equivalent required </li><li>Minimum of two (2) years' previous scheduling experience </li><li>Excellent interpersonal and communication skills </li><li>Knowledge of proper body mechanics and safety measures </li><li>Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, including Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, plus Healthcare database systems required </li><li>Strong knowledge of basic medical terminology preferred </li><li>Proven ability to interface with all customer levels (Physicians, Staff, Vendors, Patients, Family members) </li><li>Full understanding of medical insurance procedures required </li><li>Basic keyboarding minimum 35 WPM preferred </li></ul> <p>Hoag is an Equal Opportunity Employer and prohibits discrimination and harassment of any kind.
