The main emphasis for this position is CNC machining; other duties may include manual machining (tapping, countersink, lathe, mill), material movement, as well as general maintenance of machinery and adhering to required tolerances/dimensions for each customized part.</p> <p>Job Functions:</p> <ul> <li>Key emphasis is on safe and efficient machine programming, setup, and operation </li><li>Ensure tasks are executed in the most effective manner in regards to time, cost and function </li><li>Show top notch craftsmanship in all aspects of job </li><li>Open to taking direction and learning from the Production/Manufacturing leadership </li><li>Machines include manual CNC mill & lathe (with bar feeder), manual saws, as well as other machine shop equipment </li><li>Works from solid models and engineering drawings to produce parts </li><li>Ability to program, set up, fixture, and operate CNC mill/lathe and other manual equipment </li><li>Repair and maintain production equipment and facilities as required </li><li>Produce high quality parts with low rejection rate </li><li>Keep work space in a neat and safe organized manner </li><li>Show mutual respect for coworkers </li><li>Work well with other Custom Automation team members as needed </li><li>Highly motivated self-starter </li><li>Ability to train others in safe machine operation </li></ul> <p>Preferred Skills & Qualifications:</p> <ul> <li>Minimum education required is High School/GED/Trade School </li><li>Ability to interpret engineering drawings and develop machined parts from these specifications </li><li>Relevant machining experience including CNC mill/lathe </li><li>Experienced with typical machine shop tools and equipment (horizontal saw, vertical saw, deburr, grinder, drill, forklift) </li><li>Positive attitude, able to handle tense situations that arise </li><li>Advanced experience with manual and CNC mill/lathe </li><li>Ability to operate heavy duty equipment in a safe manner </li><li>Ability to lift up to 50-75 lbs. on a repetitive basis </li></ul> <p>About Bastian Solutions:</p> <p>Bastian Solutions, a Toyota Advanced Logistics company, is an independent material handling and robotics system integrator providing automated solutions for distribution, manufacturing, and order fulfillment centers around the world.
