<p>The purpose of this class is to provide all project management and oversight of all capital improvement construction projects.This position requires a Bachelor's degree with a minimum of five years of concurrent experience in the commercial building and construction industry overseeing and managing small (tenant fit-out) through large scale building projects. Candidates with some college and a minimum of 10 years requisite experience may be considered. Thorough knowledge of modern construction management techniques, practices and the ability to firmly and professionally interact with architects, engineers, contractors and public regulatory agencies. A proven track record of successfully managing construction projects that were completed on schedule and within budget. Experience with computerized project scheduling software, word/excel and CAD programs are required as well as a valid Maryland driver's license with a clean driving record. Knowledge of procurement and administration of public sector building and construction projects is preferred.</p> <p>FOR BEST CONSIDERATION APPLY BY JUNE 19, 2026.</p> <p>Compensation within the posted range is determined by a candidate's education level and/or years of experience in the field. Generally, employees are hired in the lower third of the scale.</p> <ul> <li>Facilitate, coordinate, and guide projects through the review and approval process. </li><li>Manage project teams to ensure consistency and conformance to negotiated time schedules. </li><li>Ensure compliance with project-specific program requirements. </li><li>Prepare project reports, as required. </li><li>Define scope, goals and deliverables that support the College's goals in collaboration with senior management. </li><li>Serve as liaison between client, consultants, and contractors during construction. </li><li>Schedule, supervise, train, and evaluate assigned staff, as required. </li><li>Monitor budget; may coordinate purchasing and approve expenditures. </li></ul> <p>Essential Job Duties are intended to be examples of duties and are not intended to be all inclusive.
