<p>Kforce has a client in Ramsey, NJ that is seeking a Front End Design Developer.</p> <p>Summary: This design-focused resource will help define what the business and users are trying to answer before development begins. They will work upfront on mockups and iterative designs (e.g. questions to the business and user interfacing side: If the data were displayed this way, would you be able to find the answers you need?- and then go find a solution if not). Currently, this upfront design work isn't happening, which is leading to heavy, unnecessary development cycles.</p> <p>The Developer will be coming up with a plan to build out this organization and help evaluate the org holistically, including establishing a high-level design approach and operating model. Ideal candidate: strong design background with some front-end development experience. They should be able to get up to speed on Looker components quickly so they can bridge mockups with what Looker can deliver.</p> <p>Responsibilities:</p> <ul> <li>Experience Design: Interview users and understand their needs as it fits into the larger picture </li><li>Visual Design: Mock-up designs (leveraging Looker components) to facilitate conversations and get feedback before moving forward with development </li><li>Component Design/Develop: Design and develop new components that can be added to the Looker component library that meet needs for data visualization that we don't currently have </li><li>Custom FE Dev: Leverage the Looker Extension Framework - requires familiarity with JavaScript and specifically with the React framework* To be considered for this position, candidates must have experience in a similar role, or they must possess significant knowledge, experience, and abilities to successfully perform the responsibilities listed </li><li>Relevant education and/or training will be considered a plus </li><li>Looker experience is nice to have </li></ul>
