<p>Nature of Work</p> <ul> <li>This Job Opportunity is in the Classified-Exempt Service* </li></ul> <p>Fiscal/Accounts Payable/Charleston HQAudits invoices for complete and accurate information. Inputs invoice coding information into wvOASIS to pay the invoice and attaches a copy of the invoice to the transaction in wvOASIS. Assists P-card Coordinator in conducting field and desk audits by reviewing invoices, receiving reports, and other source documents for compliance with P-card internal controls and procedures. The employee must reference the coding presented on the coding sheet and include all contract information provided for each transaction. Provides management with reports and analysis of the ongoing operation and outcome of the P-card program. Identify problem areas within P-card operations, such as fraudulent charges and abusive use of the card for unauthorized purchases. Report all inconsistencies to the P-card Program Coordinator. Monitors disputed charges and report disputes to supervisor, billing errors, disputed payments, credits, etc., to ensure accurate and timely processing of corrections as needed within the wvOASIS accounting system. Reports DNR P-card Policy violations to the P-card Program Coordinator. Serves as backup to other Accounting Technician 3s within the unit and assigns transactions to appropriate staff members for travel processing. Provides support to other staff members and approximately 500 P-card holders regarding the P-card program. Maintains regular correspondence with assigned cardholders regarding P-card invoices. Answer and route phone calls for Fiscal Services. The employee may train and review the work of other accounts payable staff members. The employee will be required to transmit information and instructions between the supervisor and other staff members. The employee will perform related and other duties as assigned. The employee may serve as backup to other accounting technicians. Employee will stay current and in compliance with all training, policies, and applicable state laws concerning their position.
