<p>We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Systems Engineer to join our team in Charleston, SC. The ideal candidate will possess a TS/SCI clearance and a strong background in computer engineering, with expertise in various technical domains. This role requires a deep understanding of cyber engineering, network infrastructure, and software development, as well as the ability to lead IT initiatives and work on highly sensitive projects.</p> <p>Location: Charleston, SC</p> <p>Duties and responsibilities include:</p> <ul> <li>Design, develop, and maintain complex computer systems and networks. </li><li>Implement and manage network infrastructure, including server virtualization and cloud transitions. </li><li>Develop and configure software solutions to enhance system performance and security. </li><li>Conduct advanced research to resolve highly complex technical issues. </li><li>Ensure the security and integrity of network systems through robust cybersecurity measures. </li><li>Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure project success and alignment with organizational goals. </li><li>Produce high-quality documentation for all network designs, products, data flows, and services. </li><li>Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior engineers and IT staff. </li><li>Manage the installation, monitoring, maintenance, support, and optimization of all hardware, software, and communication links. </li><li>Troubleshoot hardware, software, and network operating issues. </li></ul> <p>Required Qualifications:</p> <ul> <li>This role will be directly supporting USMC Systems Command (MCSC) and the Naval Information Warfare Center (NIWC Atlantic) Expeditionary Systems and Services (E2S2) providing cyber engineering, cyber security and IT operations to the following USMC Integrated Product Teams: Enterprise Infrastructure Modernization IPT, Enterprise Communications Infrastructure IPT, Wireless Enterprise Systems and Services IPT and Enterprise Engineering and Integration Services IPT, so direct experience supporting NIWC Atlantic, MCSC, E2S2 and these IPTs is essential. </li><li>Ten (10) years with Masters or 14 years with Bachelor's degree of experience in computer design, software development, or computer networks. </li><li>Five (5) years of technical experience in cyber engineering, network infrastructure, networking, server virtualization, object-oriented programming, software development, software configuration, software installation, or cloud transition, and cyber security; knowledge of industry and/or public service; commensurate IT leadership </li><li>Cybersecurity Workforce (CSWF) Designation: IAT (IA Technical) Level 2 </li><li>Ability to travel as needed (up to 30%). </li><li>Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. </li><li>Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality. </li></ul> <p>At least one of the following certifications is required:</p> <ul> <li>Microsoft role-based certifications, Microsoft Certified Applicable s Developer (MCAD), Microsoft Certified Database Administrator (MCDBA) </li><li>Red Hat Certification Program (RHCP) </li><li>CISCO Certified Network Professional (CCNP), CISCO Certified Design Professional (CCDP) </li><li>Oracle Certified Professional (OCP) </li><li>VMWare Certified Professional (VCP) </li><li>Cloud certifications - Architect Expert Certification </li></ul> <p>Desired Qualifications:</p> <ul> <li>Strong knowledge of industry and/or public service practices. </li><li>Proven IT leadership experience. </li><li>Proficiency in programming languages such as C++, Python, and Java. </li><li>Experience with network protocols and security measures. </li><li>Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills. </li><li>Strong organizational and project management skills. </li><li>Ability to work independently and as part of a team. </li><li>Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) </li><li>Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) </li><li>Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert </li></ul> <p>Education Requirement: Master's or Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, or Mathematics with a concentration in computer science.</p> <p>Clearance Requirement: Active TS/SCI clearance required.</p> <p>This position is contingent upon future contract award to Gunnison Consulting Group.</p> <p>The salary range for this position depends upon multiple factors including location, the individual's knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, and contract-specific budget constraints and organizational requirements.</p> <p>Gunnison Consulting Group's total compensation package also includes bonus and profit-sharing opportunities, depending on company and employee performance.
