Jackson Memorial is an accredited, tertiary teaching hospital with 1,500 licensed beds, where nearly every medical specialty is provided by some of the world's most skilled and highly regarded multidisciplinary team of healthcare professionals.</p> <p>Summary</p> <p>The Community Health Educator will coordinate the implementation of community health prevention and education activities, including the organization and collaboration with established workgroups and committees, technical assistance to strategic community partners, and implementation of community assessments. This position will also support the development of educational and preventive messages for the general community and reporting and evaluation efforts.</p> <p>Responsibilities</p> <p>Promotes, supports, and provides guidance to the development of prevention, education, and community mobilization strategies and policies, ensuring alignment with selected evidence-based practices.</p> <p>Supports the development of preventive educational contents and a community assessments of assigned program.</p> <p>Coordinates the implementation of social marketing strategies and design key messages for social media in collaboration with program partners.</p> <p>Coordinates the establishment of workgroups/committees in collaboration with program partners and participate in regular discussions with program partner organizations, workgroups, and community leaders.</p> <p>Develops and nurtures relationships and collaboration with key individuals and organizations in the community to foster successful implementation of prevention/education strategies and dissemination of key messages.</p> <p>Maintains professional competency by attending trainings and accessing other mechanisms for developing new relevant knowledge and skills.</p> <p>Supports the development of required reports and other documentation.</p> <p>Performs all other related job duties as assigned.</p> <p>Experience</p> <p>Generally requires 1 to 3 years of related experience.
