Learn more about the College here.</p> <p>Position Overview:The Head Field Hockey Coach and Athletic Administration Coordinator is expected to direct the day-to-day operation and development of the field hockey program at Albertus Magnus College.</p> <p>As the Head Field Hockey Coach, this individual is accountable for building the requisite roster size and developing a student-athlete recruitment plan to ensure the long-term sustainability and competitiveness of an appropriate roster. The Head Coach implements a strength and conditioning program and plans for and manages practices and games. The Head Coach also must provide positive guidance to each student-athlete that fosters and develops the premise that athletics are an integral component of the student experience, and that athletic achievement must not come at the expense of academic success.</p> <p>Additionally, this individual will serve in an administrative role as the department's Athletic Administration Coordinator, providing general assistance in all facets of day-to-day operations.</p> <p>This position may assume the title/role of Assistant Athletic Director or Senior Woman Administrator based on qualifications and experience</p> <p>Qualifications</p> <p>Essential Functions: Athletic Administration Coordinator</p> <ul> <li>Provide general support to the athletic department/Athletic Director related to daily operations and logistics. </li><li>In conjunction with the Athletic Director and head coaches, research and identify potential prospects, alumni, friends, businesses, and sponsors to benefit department fundraising initiatives. </li><li>In conjunction with the Athletic Director, identifies opportunities for additional revenue generation, including but not limited tothe development of sport-specific fundraising clubs </li><li>Point person for development of new initiatives, including but not limited to: alumni, family, and parent events, department-wide golf tournament, etc. </li><li>Communicates regularly with Advancement staff and other campus faculty/staff regarding developing and ongoing programming. </li><li>Collaborates with the Director of Athletics on all projects and initiatives to meet the department's goals and objectives. </li><li>Creates an orientation program for new employees (full-time, part-time and graduate assistants) and maintains appropriate communication regarding department policies and procedures. </li><li>Completes other projects and duties as assigned by the Athletic Director. </li></ul> <p>Head Field Hockey Coach</p> <ul> <li>Develops and implements a recruiting plan to achieve and maintain a roster size adequate for sponsorship of both Field Hockey, in accordance with the College's enrollment growth strategies. </li><li>Develops and implements a daily practice plan to ensure proper preparation for intercollegiate competition. </li><li>Provides contest preparation by scouting opponents. </li><li>Promotes the visions and values of Albertus Magnus College by emphasizing the experience and education of each student-athlete as the most important component of intercollegiate athletic participation. </li><li>Provides a year-round strength and conditioning program tailored towards the individual sport. </li></ul> <p>Qualifications and Education:</p> <ul> <li>Bachelor's degree required. </li><li>Two or more years of demonstrated, successful experience working in intercollegiate athletics and/or related areas such as admissions, advising, or student success. </li></ul> <p>Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:</p> <ul> <li>Outstanding verbal and written communication skills. </li><li>Demonstrated experience as an administrator, athlete, or coach of the sport. </li><li>Knowledge of NCAA Division III rules and regulations, including compliance. </li><li>Familiarity/competency with EAB Navigate and SLATE admissions software. </li><li>A demonstrated commitment to the NCAA Division III philosophy regarding the student-athlete experience. </li></ul> <p>Work Schedule Requirements:Hybrid work options are available after successfully completing 90 days of employment.</p>
