This role requires a high level of technical proficiency and leadership to support our clients asset management strategy, ensure effective data integration, and enhance operational decision-making through the implementation and optimization of technology platforms.</p> <p>Key Responsibilities</p> <ul> <li>Lead the planning, configuration, and maintenance of Cityworks AMS and its integration with GIS and other enterprise systems (e.g., SCADA, CMMS, ERP). </li><li>Develop and maintain automated workflows, dashboards, and reporting tools to support asset lifecycle management and risk-based decision-making. </li><li>Ensure alignment of asset data standards and practices with IAM frameworks, and organizational asset management objectives. </li><li>Collaborate with cross-functional teams including engineering, operations, and IT to enhance system usability and data reliability. </li><li>Provide technical leadership in GIS-based asset inventory development, condition assessment strategies, and performance monitoring initiatives. </li><li>Support digital transformation and innovation initiatives including mobile data collection, field integration, and cloud-based services. </li><li>Mentor junior staff and facilitate training on Cityworks and GIS tools; support change management efforts related to digital asset systems. </li></ul> <p>We value collaboration and believe that in-person interactions are crucial for both our culture and client delivery. We empower employees with our hybrid working policy, allowing them to split their work week between Jacobs offices/projects and remote locations enabling them to deliver their best work.</p> <p>Here's what you'll need</p> <ul> <li>Bachelor's degree in Geography, Geomatics, Computer Science, Engineering, or related field; advanced degree or certifications (e.g., GISP, IAM Certificate/Diploma) preferred. </li><li>Minimum 8 years of progressively responsible experience in GIS, Cityworks AMS, and enterprise systems integration, ideally within the water sector. </li><li>Demonstrated experience designing and implementing integrated GIS/AMS solutions aligned with asset management strategies. </li><li>Strong proficiency with ESRI tools (ArcGIS Pro, Portal, Online), Python scripting, SQL Server, REST APIs, and system interoperability. </li><li>Experience in leading multidisciplinary teams and managing system-focused projects from conception through implementation. </li><li>Excellent communication, analytical, and organizational skills. </li></ul> <p>Preferred Skills</p> <ul> <li>Prior client facing experience with local government Public Works and Utility Departments </li><li>General understanding of systems integration concepts including REST APIs, webhooks, and interoperability platforms such as Node-RED, FME, or similar tools. </li></ul> <p>Posted Salary Range: Minimum</p> <p>90,000.00</p> <p>Posted Salary Range: Upper</p> <p>135,000.00</p> <p>Jacobs' health and welfare benefits are designed to invest in you, and in the things you care about.
