The individual will focus on our Core Values: Safety and Sanitation, Friendly Courteous Service, and Excellence. The University is an equal opportunity employer and seeks candidates who understand, respect and can contribute to the University's mission and values.</p> <p>Duties and Responsibilities:</p> <p>ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:</p> <ul> <li>Set-up, maintain, and break down all service lines. Ability to prepare and/or cook food for cold production and for pizza/grill lines. Stock, rotate and replenish merchandise as needed. Back of the house production includes salad and fruit bars, deli prep, desserts, and commissary items. </li><li>May work on any of the following stations serving our customers: sandwich/salad/pizza/grill/Holy Grounds areas/register stations. </li><li>Serves customers in an efficient and courteous manner in accordance with our mission. Responsible for serving the proper proportions and following all safety and sanitation practices. </li><li>Is familiar with all menu items and recipes following our standards. </li><li>Cleans and sanitizes food equipment and dining room tables and chairs. </li></ul> <p>NONESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:</p> <ul> <li>Works special events/weekends as required. </li><li>Assists in the dish room area if needed including sweeping, mopping, disposing of trash/recycling. </li><li>Perform additional job duties as directed by supervisor or manager. </li></ul> <p>Minimum Qualifications:</p> <p>Work Skills:</p> <ul> <li>Basic reading and writing skills; basic communication skills. </li><li>Excellent customer service skills. </li><li>Practices excellent personal hygiene habits and follows and adheres to uniform standards. </li><li>Ability to: follow directions and complete assigned tasks, work with minimal supervision, and to interact with people on a constant basis. </li></ul> <p>Preferred Qualifications:</p> <p>Formal Education:</p> <ul> <li>Preferred - High school diploma or equivalent. </li><li>Preferred - Basic knowledge of food service safety and sanitation. </li><li>Preferred - Serv Safe Training and Allergy Awareness Training. </li></ul> <p>Physical Requirements and/or Unusual Work Hours:</p> <p>Tools, machinery and equipment used:</p> <ul> <li>Knives, slicers, and all known kitchen equipment. </li></ul> <p>Environmental Conditions:</p> <ul> <li>Chemicals used for cleaning and weather exposure for special events. </li></ul> <p>Physical Requirements:</p> <ul> <li>Ability to stand for extended periods. </li><li>Ability to lift, push/pull up to 10 pounds independently and up to 40 pounds with assistance. </li><li>Ability to withstand extreme temperatures. </li></ul> <p>Special Message to Applicants:</p> <p>SCHEDULE during normal operating hours</p> <p>Tuesday - Saturday 4:30pm - 1:00am</p> <p>Off Sunday and Monday</p> <p>Posting Date: 03/31/2026 Closing Date (11:59pm ET): Salary Posting Information:</p> <p>$17.50 per hour shift differential for qualifying shifts</p> <p>Salary Grade: 8 Job Classification: non-exempt</p> <p>References Needed</p> <p>References Needed</p> <p>Minimum Number of References Needed 1 Maximum Number of References Needed 1</p>
