<p>Employment Type:</p> <p>Full time</p> <p>Shift:</p> <p>Evening Shift</p> <p>Description:</p> <p>Nazareth Hospital a member of Trinity Health, Mid-Atlantic, is looking for a Lead Patient Access Representative to join our ED team!</p> <p>Schedule:</p> <p>Full Time, 40hrs/wk evening shift 3p-11p. Expectations for flexibility to cover other shifts, work assigned weekends and holidays as needed or assigned</p> <p>:</p> <p>Colleagues assigned as Lead Patient Access Representatives are the primary subject matter expert, super user, trouble shooter, and problem solver for the staff in the areas to which they are assigned. They serve as a preceptor to new staff members as assigned, and mentor and train colleagues as needed. In the absence of Patient Access Management, they serve as the "go to person" for the areas to which they are assigned.</p> <ul> <li> <p>Greet, pre-register and/or register patients in a courteous and professional manner, verify insurance benefits and check for the necessity of pre-certification, authorization and referral.</p> </li><li> <p>Perform medical necessity checks where needed. Secure patient signatures for required hospital forms and collection of patient's financial responsibility when required.</p> </li><li> <p>Responsible for providing professional, quality customer service, timely resolution to customer problems, and coordination of services to all customers.</p> </li><li> <p>Functions to communicate revenue cycle related issues to patients, physicians, physician office staff and other hospital colleagues.
