<p>Job Title: Systems Architect</p> <p>Job Description</p> <p>As a Systems Architect, you will be responsible for architecting integrated communications systems using RF, SATCOM, and IP-based technologies, with a strong emphasis on 5G waveforms, DSSS, Frequency Hopping, and more. You will lead and mentor a team of DSP and embedded software engineers to deliver robust, real-time communications solutions. You will also adapt and extend the 5G OpenAirInterface stack to meet military LPI/LPD requirements.</p> <p>Responsibilities</p> <ul> <li>Architect integrated communications systems focusing on 5G waveforms, DSSS, and Frequency Hopping. </li><li>Mentor and lead a team of DSP and embedded software engineers. </li><li>Develop and validate system-level approaches for integrating DSSS and Frequency Hopping into 5G-based tactical communications. </li><li>Conduct link budgets, interference analysis, and RF propagation assessments. </li><li>Support integration and testing of communication systems in lab and field settings. </li><li>Interface with hardware and software teams to enhance system-level performance. </li><li>Author technical documentation, system specifications, and SBIR deliverables. </li></ul> <p>Essential Skills</p> <ul> <li>5G </li><li>Systems Architecture </li><li>C Programming </li><li>Open Air Interface </li><li>Telecommunications Systems </li><li>RF </li><li>Satcom </li><li>Waveforms </li></ul> <p>Additional Skills & Qualifications</p> <ul> <li>BS Degree in STEM Field (Masters or PhD preferred) </li><li>10+ years of 5G Waveform Systems Architecture experience </li><li>US Citizenship required </li><li>Experience supporting DoD/DoW programs is preferred </li><li>Proficient in C-Based Programming </li></ul> <p>Work Environment</p> <p>This role offers the flexibility to be fully remote or hybrid, depending on your location. You will support a Military 5G Waveform program for Space Force under a SBIR award funded for 24 months. The team includes two Senior DSP Engineers who are also fully remote.
