As a Supporting Library Specialist at Arapahoe Libraries, you'll float between branches, the bookmobile, and our call center-stepping in wherever help is needed most.</p> <p>This is a dynamic role that requires flexibility, adaptability, and a strong passion for public service. No two days are the same-and that's exactly what makes this work so rewarding. This role is part-time, 20-hours per week.</p> <p>Schedule and Availability</p> <p>Because of the changing needs of this position, open availability is required:</p> <p>Monday-Thursday: 9:00 AM - 9:00 PM</p> <p>Friday-Saturday: 9:00 AM - 5:00 PM</p> <p>Sunday: 12:00 PM - 5:00 PM</p> <p>What You'll Do as a Supporting Library Specialist</p> <p>Patron Assistance</p> <ul> <li>Greet and assist patrons at various locations </li><li>Handle account inquiries and transactions </li><li>Answer reference and technology questions </li><li>Promote programs, resources, and events </li><li>Provide service via phone and online chat </li><li>De-escalate concerns and create a welcoming environment </li></ul> <p>Materials Handling</p> <ul> <li>Shelve and organize library materials </li><li>Maintain displays and library spaces </li></ul> <p>Team Support and Learning</p> <ul> <li>Stay informed on internal updates and services </li><li>Share feedback with supervisors and collaborate with coworkers </li><li>Adjust to changes and varied environments at each location </li></ul> <p>What You Will Bring to This Role</p> <p>Qualifications</p> <ul> <li>At least one year of experience in customer service, libraries, or education </li><li>Intermediate technology skills and willingness to learn new tools </li><li>Reliable transportation and ability to travel with short notice </li><li>Strong communication and interpersonal skills </li><li>Enthusiasm for serving people of all ages and backgrounds </li><li>A flexible mindset and comfort with frequent change </li></ul> <p>Preferred: Experience working with children or teens</p> <p>Who We Are</p> <p>At Arapahoe Libraries, our motto is Let's Find Out.</p> <p>We are guided by our core values of collaboration, equity, and innovation.
