<p>POSITION SUMMARY</p> <ul> <li>A Senior Materials and Logistics Manager in the manufacturing field typically oversees and manages all aspects of materials sourcing, inventory management, and logistics to ensure smooth operations. </li><li>Is responsible for leading and overseeing the materials planning, procurement, inventory control, and logistics functions within our manufacturing operations. </li><li>The role is pivotal in ensuring an efficient and optimized supply chain to support production and meet customer demands. </li><li>Ensure the efficient flow of materials, optimize inventory levels, and enhance logistics strategies to meet production demands and customer satisfaction. </li></ul> <p>RESPONSIBILITIES</p> <ul> <li>Develop and implement strategies for materials planning and procurement to support production schedules and meet quality standards. </li><li>Collaborate with suppliers to negotiate contracts, prices, and delivery terms while ensuring timely and cost-effective procurement of materials. </li><li>Monitor and optimize inventory levels to minimize excess or shortage of materials. </li><li>Implement inventory control procedures, including cycle counts, audits, and stock optimization techniques. </li><li>Coordinate with cross-functional teams to forecast demand and maintain appropriate stock levels. </li><li>Oversee inbound and outbound logistics operations, including transportation, warehousing, and distribution. </li><li>Optimize logistics processes to improve efficiency, reduce lead times, and minimize costs. </li><li>Evaluate and select third-party logistics partners and manage relationships to ensure service levels are met. </li><li>Lead and mentor a team of materials and logistics professionals, providing guidance, support, and fostering a collaborative work environment. </li><li>Collaborate with internal departments such as production, supply chain, and quality assurance to align strategies and streamline processes. </li><li>Identify opportunities for process improvements and cost savings within the materials and logistics functions. </li><li>Implement best practices and lean methodologies to enhance operational efficiency and effectiveness. </li></ul> <p>QUALIFICATIONS</p> <p>Minimum Job Qualifications:</p> <ul> <li>Minimum number 8-12 of experience in materials management, procurement, and logistics within a manufacturing environment, with a track record of progressively increasing responsibilities </li></ul> <p>Preferred Qualifications:</p> <ul> <li>Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field. Master's degree preferred. </li><li>Excellent leadership and communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively across departments and with external stakeholders. </li><li>Strong knowledge of inventory control methods, logistics management principles, and ERP systems. </li></ul> <p>EDUCATION AND CERTIFICATIONS</p> <ul> <li>Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field.
