<p>Position Summary</p> <p>Samsung Wallet - Senior Manager, Strategic Planning & Operation</p> <p>Role and Responsibilities</p> <p>Samsung Wallet - Senior Manager, Strategic Planning & Operation</p> <p>Samsung Wallet is a mobile payment service and digital wallet developed by Samsung. It is designed to be a one-stop shop for all debit cards, credit cards, digital passes, and tickets, making them easy to access and use when necessary. With the rise of NFC payment terminals in stores and evolving consumer preferences over the past year, Samsung Wallet has never been more important. Working on the Samsung Wallet team will give you a chance to impact the lives of millions worldwide significantly. It will be invaluable to the future of payments and financial services. You'll be able to collaborate with and learn from experts from various fields and work on exciting, challenging projects.</p> <p>We are looking for a senior manager of Strategic Planning & Operation with at least five years of experience who is highly organized and detail-oriented. The role of Strategic Planning & Operation will be responsible for driving strategic reviews of business and product initiatives, ensuring the business is progressing forward, and helping establish the newly formalized Strategy function within the business.</p> <p>The ideal candidate is self-motivated, analytical, data-driven, and solutions-focused with the ability to unravel complexity, navigate the organization, and come to a quick understanding of the business. The position will require excellent communication and presentation skills, as well as the ability to drive close collaboration with all areas of the business. The Senior Manager of Strategic Planning & Operation must be a self-starter and will need be comfortable working under tight timeframes in a fast-paced environment.</p> <p>Responsibilities</p> <ul> <li>Strategic Planning: </li><li>Collaborate with leadership to develop and refine the overall strategic direction of the Samsung Wallet, ensuring alignment with the company's broader goals and objectives </li><li>Conduct regular analysis of the competitive landscape to identify emerging trends and market shifts, providing recommendations for business differentiation, expansion or adaptation </li><li>Identify and evaluate new business opportunities, strategic partnerships, and potential acquisitions to enhance our position in the market </li><li>Develop and drive comprehensive strategic initiatives, working cross-functionally on execution plans </li><li>Foster relationships with key industry stakeholders, clients, and partners to assess opportunities for revenue growth and market position enhancement </li><li>Help architect and optimize cadence for Samsung Wallet leadership around managing the business and organization, focused on key forums, such as leadership meetings, OKR reviews, product reviews, and All Hands </li></ul> <p>Skills and Qualifications</p> <ul> <li>Performance Management and Reporting: </li><li>Establish goals around key performance indicators (KPIs) and other metrics to measure the success of strategic initiatives, business development efforts, and business performance </li><li>Prepare regular reports and executive-level presentations to communicate strategic recommendations, progress, and performance updates to senior management. </li><li>Work with internal analytics teams to create insights into the business to drive data-driven decision-making </li><li>Communicate with stakeholders to ensure that goals and deliverables are understood and met </li></ul> <p>Required Qualifications</p> <ul> <li>BA/BS required, MBA preferred </li><li>At least five years of experience in investment banking, consulting firm, or a corporate strategy/development group, focused on fintech area </li><li>Excellent communication, problem-solving, and time-management skills </li><li>Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple workstreams concurrently </li><li>Experience working with cross-functional teams and managing vendor relationships </li><li>Track record of navigating organizational complexity </li><li>Proficiency in Korean language is desirable, but not mandatory </li></ul> <p>Compensation for this role, for candidates based in New York, NY, is expected to be between $165,000 ~ $200,000 base. Actual pay will be determined considering factors such as relevant skills and experience, and comparison to other employees in the role.
