<p>JOB SUMMARY</p> <p>The Waste Management Collector is responsible for semi-skilled manual labor involving the collection of trash and refuse.</p> <p>ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:</p> <ul> <li>Performs a variety of unskilled and semi-skilled manual labor </li><li>Collects garbage and trash throughout the town in a safe and efficient manner </li><li>Represents the Town and interacts with the public on a daily basis </li><li>Performs other duties as assigned that relate to Construction and Demolition (C&D) or Municipal Solid Waste (MSW) </li><li>Provides assistance to other Divisions within the Department and other Town departments as directed </li><li>Performs other duties as required </li></ul> <p>MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS TO PERFORM WORK:</p> <ul> <li>High school diploma or equivalent and six (6) months prior work experience </li><li>Valid South Carolina Drivers License </li><li>Or equivalent combination of education and experience </li></ul> <p>KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:</p> <ul> <li>Knowledge of operation and maintenance of Division equipment and effective practices and techniques </li><li>Knowledge of department safety practices and techniques </li><li>Knowledge of various department tools and equipment </li><li>Ability to effectively communicate verbally and in written form </li><li>Ability to follow directions and complete tasks in a detailed and accurate manner </li><li>Ability to establish effective working relationships with employees </li><li>Ability to work independently or as part of a team </li><li>Ability to work under adverse weather conditions. </li></ul> <p>To deliver superior performance in a manner that is distinctive and impactful to each person served and that establishes a standard for quality that endures for generations.</p> <p>Other details</p> <ul> <li>Pay Type Hourly </li><li>Min Hiring Rate $18.81 </li></ul> <p>Apply Now</p> <ul> <li>Mt Pleasant, SC, USA </li></ul>
