Our customers are at the center of everything we do and we're looking for associates who are passionate about delivering extraordinary care.</p> <p>Location: Downtown Columbus, Ohio</p> <p>Day Shift: Monday-Friday 38.75 Hours</p> <p>Job Summary:</p> <p>Nationwide is seeking a skilled and safety-conscious Maintenance Electrician to ensure the reliable operation of electrical systems across our facilities. This role involves inspecting, maintaining, and repairing electrical infrastructure to support business continuity and safety.</p> <p>Key Responsibilities:</p> <ul> <li>Inspect and maintain electrical systems, wiring, and fixtures in commercial buildings. </li><li>Troubleshoot and repair electrical issues, ensuring minimal disruption to operations. </li><li>Install new electrical systems and equipment as needed. </li><li>Conduct routine preventive maintenance and testing of electrical systems. </li><li>Utilize infrared thermography to detect and diagnose electrical faults and overheating components. </li><li>Perform inspections, testing, and maintenance of fire alarm systems in compliance with NFPA standards. </li><li>Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal electrical codes and safety regulations. </li><li>Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals. </li><li>Maintain accurate records of work performed and materials used. </li><li>Collaborate with contractors and internal teams on larger projects. </li><li>Train and mentor apprentice electricians as needed. </li><li>Communicate effectively with supervisors and team members regarding project status and potential issues. </li></ul> <p>Qualifications:</p> <ul> <li>Valid Journeyman Electrician License. </li><li>Minimum of 5 years of experience in commercial or industrial electrical work. </li><li>Strong knowledge of electrical systems, codes, and safety standards. </li><li>Infrared Thermography Certification (Level I or higher preferred). </li><li>Valid Fire Alarm License preferred (FA License) in accordance with state/local regulations. </li><li>Ability to work independently and as part of a team. </li><li>Proficiency with diagnostic tools and hand/power tools. </li><li>Excellent problem-solving and communication skills. </li></ul> <p>Preferred Skills:</p> <ul> <li>Experience in facilities maintenance within corporate environments. </li><li>Familiarity with building automation systems and energy management. </li><li>Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively. </li></ul> <p>#LI-AC1</p>
