<p>Job Title: Medical Assistant</p> <p>Job Description</p> <p>We are seeking a dedicated Medical Assistant to join our dynamic team. The role involves answering phones, scheduling appointments, obtaining prior authorizations, and rooming patients, among other duties.</p> <p>Responsibilities</p> <ul> <li>Answer phones and schedule appointments. </li><li>Obtain prior authorizations for procedures and treatments. </li><li>Room patients and manage patient flow. </li><li>Address patient messages and inquiries. </li><li>Refill medications and process same-day requests. </li><li>Perform administrative and clinical tasks as needed. </li><li>Work closely with one assigned doctor, managing a patient volume of 15-20 per day. </li></ul> <p>Essential Skills</p> <ul> <li>Strong customer service skills. </li><li>Proficient in data entry and managing patient information. </li><li>Excellent communication skills. </li><li>Reliable with consistent attendance. </li><li>Experience with EPIC, clerical tasks, insurance, and EMR systems. </li></ul> <p>Additional Skills & Qualifications</p> <ul> <li>CMA/RMA certification is helpful. </li><li>Medical Assistant diploma is required. </li><li>EPIC experience is preferred. </li></ul> <p>Work Environment</p> <p>The role is based in a very busy multispecialty practice located in New Haven County. The work schedule is flexible, with hours between 7:30 AM and 5:30 PM, primarily working from 9:30 AM to 5:30 PM, Monday to Thursday, totaling 40 hours per week.
