<p>The role of the Art Teacher is to plan, organize and implement an appropriate, comprehensive instructional program in a supportive and collaborative learning environment that guides and encourages students to develop and fulfill their academic, social and emotional potential.</p> <ul> <li>Implements arts curriculum for grades K-8 </li><li>Provides engaging teaching of the fundamental skills appropriate to the content area taught </li><li>Differentiates instruction to meet the learning needs of all students </li><li>Paces instruction in order to effectively meet the standards for each grade/content area taught </li><li>Utilizes a multitude of teaching modalities to engage students in instruction </li><li>Works as a member of the Co-Curricular department </li><li>Provides coverage and assists with arrival, dismissal, lunch and recess </li></ul> <p>BFCCPS opened in 1995 as one of the first Charter Schools in Massachusetts.
