Must be available to work additional hours as needed.</p> <p>Who May Apply?</p> <p>Internal City employees only. No external candidates or non-City employees will be considered</p> <p>Responsibilities</p> <p>The Business Manager is responsible for overseeing complex facilities related projects.</p> <ul> <li>Facilitate allocation and utilization of resources to ensure all facility projects are completed. </li><li>Manage repairs and renovation contracts, including documentation and contractor performance. </li><li>Develop and monitor project budget and ensure they are completed on time and within established budgets. </li><li>Manage the performance of staff members to ensure department goals are achieved. </li><li>Prepare and deliver presentations to leadership on on-going projects. </li><li>Manage and ensure implementation of procedures to ensure project related functions are performed appropriately and result in quality outcomes. </li><li>Ensure projects are completed according to contract requirements. </li><li>Professionally represent the City when interacting with City officials, City employees, private developers, contractors, consultants, other agencies and the public. </li><li>May be asked to perform other duties as assigned. </li></ul> <p>Qualifications</p> <ul> <li>Requires a Bachelor's Degree </li><li>Minimum of six (6) years of related experience </li><li>A combination of education and pertinent experience may be considered </li><li>A valid driver's license is required. Successful out of state candidates must be able to obtain a valid Texas driver's license within 90 days of hire. </li></ul> <p>Other Information:</p> <p>Benefits</p> <p>The City offers an excellent benefit package that includes:</p> <ul> <li>Texas Municipal Retirement System - TMRS is a required retirement plan for all full-time employees. Each employee automatically contributes 7% of their total compensation.
