<p>The Clinical Education Instructor teaches identified curriculum for BLS, ACLS and PALS programs per the American Heart Association guidelines. The position teaches adult learners, utilizing the skills and techniques of the American Heart Association. The position is part of a team of educators that may be called upon to teach in areas of their expertise including code carts, mock codes, and facilitates other educators with AHA standards.</p> <p>The position also serves as the medical simulation coordinator and trainer by coordinating medical simulation needs for any of the medical courses offered by Baptist Health Care, to include high fidelity simulation or medical task trainers. The position assists with scheduling training sessions and preparing equipment and training needed for students, educates students on simulator capabilities prior to training, and trains clinical education personnel on the use and maintenance of all simulators and task trainers. The position serves as the educator for new employee orientation and facilitates annual staff development through formal and informal in-services and training programs that follow/teach established nursing process, including patient assessment, nursing diagnosis, planning, intervention, and evaluation. The Clinical Education Instructor is responsible for providing staff development expertise as an educator, consultant, facilitator, change agent, leader and researcher. The position collaborates with the clinical education team to provide computer orientation and retraining as deemed necessary.</p> <ul> <li>Teaches identified curriculum for BLS, ACLS and PALS programs in an interactive manner. </li><li>Implements adult learning strategies for courses and documents education and training activities </li><li>Displays initiative and adherence to BHC's core values in recruiting, organizing, conducting and record keeping. </li><li>Communicates well with a variety of community/client populations. </li><li>Maintains current knowledge/certification/licensure.
