<p>Job Summary and Responsibilities</p> <p>As our Respiratory Care Practitioner, you will competently provide essential respiratory care for neonate, pediatric, adult, and geriatric patients. Your expertise is vital for critical respiratory interventions and patient well-being.</p> <p>Every day you will perform arterial punctures, continuous ventilation, airway maintenance, emergency care, infection control, isolation procedures, mechanical ventilator operation, cardiopulmonary resuscitation, and medical gas administration.</p> <p>To be successful, you will possess advanced clinical skills in all aspects of respiratory care across age groups, meticulous attention to detail, a strong commitment to patient safety and infection control, and the ability to perform effectively in emergencies.</p> <p>Job Requirements</p> <ul> <li>Respiratory Care Practitioner: CA </li><li>AHA Basic Life Support - CPR </li><li>AHA Pediatric Advanced Life Support </li><li>Fire Safety, within 90 Days </li><li>Associates Of Science or Bachelors Of Science in Respiratory Care preferred. </li><li>2 years acute care experience including, pediatrics, trauma, and ventilator management; blood gas and pulmonary function testing experience desirable; experience with extended and managed care desirable. </li></ul> <p>Where You'll Work</p> <p>Founded in 1887, Dignity Health - California Hospital Medical Center is a 318-bed, acute care, nonprofit hospital located in downtown Los Angeles, California.
