<p>Kforce has a client that is seeking a Lead Data Scientist in Greenwood Village, CO.</p> <p>Summary: We are seeking an experienced and strategic Lead Data Scientist to drive advanced analytics initiatives within the telecommunications space. This role combines hands-on data science expertise with leadership responsibilities, guiding a team through complex analytical challenges and delivering impactful business insights. The ideal candidate is a curious and self-starting professional with deep experience in statistical analysis, machine learning, and cloud-based data solutions.</p> <p>Key Responsibilities:</p> <ul> <li>Lead the design and execution of data science projects, including exploratory data analysis (EDA), regression modeling, and clustering algorithms </li><li>Architect and implement scalable data science workflows using Python, SQL, and AWS </li><li>Develop and review visualizations using Plotly, Seaborn, or Matplotlib to effectively communicate technical findings to stakeholders </li><li>Mentor and guide junior data scientists and analysts, promoting best practices in data science and coding </li><li>Partner with cross-functional teams to translate business questions into data-driven solutions </li><li>Build and maintain robust models that support operational and strategic decisions </li><li>Drive adoption of statistical thinking and experimentation across the organization </li><li>Utilize shell scripting or Bash within Linux environments to automate processes and manage data pipelines </li><li>Present findings and recommendations with clarity and influence at all levels of the organization* 5+ years of applied experience in data science, including hands-on work in regression, clustering, and EDA </li><li>Advanced proficiency in Python and its data science ecosystem </li><li>Deep understanding of statistics and its application to real-world problems </li><li>Proven experience creating impactful visualizations using Plotly, Seaborn, or Matplotlib </li><li>Strong skills in SQL for complex data querying and transformation </li><li>Hands-on experience with AWS cloud services for deploying and scaling models </li><li>Experience working in Linux environments and developing shell scripts or Bash automations </li><li>Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to influence and align teams </li><li>Demonstrated initiative, curiosity, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment </li><li>Background in or exposure to the telecommunications industry is highly desirable </li></ul> <p>Preferred Qualifications:</p> <ul> <li>Leadership experience managing or mentoring technical teams </li><li>Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, containerization (Docker), and version control (Git) </li><li>Experience designing experiments or A/B testing frameworks </li></ul>
