<p>Quality Control / Non-Destructive Testing / NDT / NDE / QC</p> <p>We offer you:</p> <ul> <li>CAREER GROWTH </li><li>SUPERIOR BENEFITS </li><li>COMPANY WIDE BONUS PLANAWESOME BENEFITS </li><li>ESOP - EMPLOYEE STOCK OWNERSHIP PLAN </li></ul> <p>HOURS:</p> <ul> <li>4 pm - 4 am - 2nd Shift OR a similar 12 hour shift </li><li>10% shift premium </li></ul> <p>Looking for detailed oriented and analytical manufacturing individuals who want a long-term career.</p> <p>We have locations in Spring Grove, IL, Clinton, WI and Franklin Park, IL.</p> <p>We conduct a hair follicle pre-employment drug screen.</p> <p>Scot Forge is a 130-year-old, 100% employee-owned company that manufactures custom open die and rolled ring forgings for demanding applications all over the world.</p> <p>ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:</p> <ul> <li>Inspection of incoming materials, process and final product inspection, evaluation of product conformance, data review and analysis and NDE inspection reports. </li><li>Set up, calibrate and operate various non-destructive testing instruments to verify steel integrity. </li><li>Calibrate and perform NDE in accordance with NADCAP standards. </li><li>Obtain and maintain internal certifications in NDE disciplines - Ultrasound (UT), Penetrant Testing (PT) and Magnetic Particle Testing (MT) as part of NDT role. </li><li>Obtain Niton, Brinell, and Final Inspection certifications. </li><li>Review shop order, specifications, and production prints to determine appropriate testing and inspection parameters. </li><li>Prepare print of non-conforming material indicating a description and location of non-conformance. </li><li>Prepare documentation to be used to submit deviation and non-conformance reports for material out of specification. </li><li>Prepare any required inspection records/documentation including dimensional reports and customer provided documentation of inspection. </li><li>Participate in required equipment training for safe use of Crane, Chain and Rigging, Fork trucks, use of etchants, and the use of special evaluation tools such as the Niton gun and radiation detectors. </li><li>Participate in required documented procedure training as required by position and or assignment of supervisor. </li><li>Communicate with Sales, Process Engineering, Metallurgy Lab and Production departments as required to confirm product specifications or to inform of product or process non-conformance. </li><li>Inspect and evaluate products on customer premises or at Scot Forge for customers or customer's representatives. </li><li>Asks questions if a process is unclear, or there's safety, or quality concerns. </li><li>Understand and follow the Scot Forge safety and quality policies. </li></ul> <p>QUALIFICATIONS:</p> <p>Required:</p> <ul> <li>High School Diploma or Equivalent </li><li>1 or more years of manufacturing/ heavy equipment / Quality Control, Quality Assurance experience </li><li>Micrometer, caliper and gauge experience </li></ul> <p>Preferred:</p> <ul> <li>Associated Degree (AAS or equivalent) - Preferred </li><li>Certifications ASNT ACCP (UT, PT, MT level 2); ASQ CQI or CQT </li><li>Minimum 1 to 3 years applied training in NDE </li><li>Level 1or Level 2 NDT certification </li><li>Metal fabrication experience </li><li>High level QA or QC reporting experience </li><li>Forklift experience - sit down </li><li>Manufacturing or Production experience </li><li>Ultrasound / Ultrasonic testing experience </li></ul> <p>BENEFITS:</p> <p>A few of our amazing benefits include…</p> <ul> <li>Employee Stock Ownership Plan </li><li>Profit Sharing Bonus </li><li>Medical </li><li>Dental </li><li>Life Insurance </li><li>Vision </li><li>Company provided Life Insurance </li><li>Prescription Drug Plan </li><li>401K and Roth Plan </li><li>Paid vacation and holidays. </li><li>Short-term disability </li><li>Long term disability </li><li>Tuition Reimbursement </li></ul> <p>Scot Forge is a 130-year-old, 100% employee-owned company that manufactures custom open die and rolled ring forgings.
