<p>Employment Type:</p> <p>Part time</p> <p>Shift:</p> <p>12 Hour Day Shift</p> <p>Description:</p> <p>POSITION PURPOSE</p> <p>Under the supervision of the Registered Nurse, assists nursing staff with various patient care activities. Adheres to MercyOne's performance expectations and performs all defined services and other related duties in accordance with the mission, vision and values of MercyOne.</p> <p>ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS</p> <p>Provides safe, personal care to patients.</p> <p>Maintains clean, organized patient rooms and work areas.</p> <p>Transports patients.</p> <p>Based on principles of growth and development, provides care appropriate to the age related needs of the patients served on his/her assigned unit which may include:</p> <p>Birth - 28 days Neonate</p> <p>1 - 18 Months Infant</p> <p>18 Months - 3 Years Toddler</p> <p>3 - 6 Years Preschool-aged</p> <p>6 - 12 Years School-aged</p> <p>12 - 18 Years Adolescents</p> <p>18 - 65 Years Adults</p> <p>65+ Years Geriatric</p> <p>Maintains a working knowledge of applicable Federal, State, and local laws and regulations, Trinity Health's Organizational Integrity Program, Standards of Conduct, as well as other policies and procedures in order to ensure adherence in a manner that reflects honest, ethical, and professional behavior.</p> <p>Hours/Schedule</p> <p>.6 FTE; Full-time 24 hours per week</p> <p>Days shift; 6:45am - 7:15pm</p> <p>Every 3rd weekend/holiday rotation</p> <p>MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS</p> <ul> <li>Basic Skill Set - Requires the ability to read, write and understand the English language, and communicate effectively with patients, visitors, staff and physicians while performing their job duties. </li><li>Minimum of 6 months patient care experience preferred </li><li>BLS. Mandatory Reporter. Non-Violent Crisis Intervention Training (NVCI) within 6 months of hire. </li><li>Basic language, minimum math, basic reasoning ability. Ability to work with diverse groups of people.
