<ul> <li> <p>Schedule: 20 hours per week; variable days & hours; Monday-Friday: 11:00am - 7:30pm & Saturday-Sunday: 11:30am - 4:30pm</p> </li><li> <p>Travel required if needed to other campuses which include the Henry Ford Warren Hospital and the Henry Ford Madison Heights Hospital (rare occasion).</p> </li></ul> <p>RESPONSIBILITIES:</p> <ul> <li>Receives payment by cash, check, credit card and debit card and issues receipts, change, credits or refunds to customers. </li><li>Operates cash registers and ensures accurate and efficient accounts of all transactions. </li><li>Balances cash and credit card receipts and counts cash drawers at the beginning and end of each shift to ensure correct balance. </li><li>In retail setting, assists with the receiving, unpacking, stocking, displaying, pricing, and sales of merchandise. </li><li>Maintains clean and organized area. </li><li>Customer service mindset with friendly personality. </li><li>Assists with selecting gift items for customers, taking phone orders and making in hospital deliveries. </li><li>Assists with training volunteers as needed. </li></ul> <p>EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIRED</p> <ul> <li>High School diploma equivalency OR 1 year of applicable cumulative job specific experience required. - Note: Required professional licensure/certification can be used in lieu of education or experience, if applicable. </li><li>Excellent interpersonal skills </li><li>Engaging personality. </li><li>Three years previous retail experience preferred. </li><li>Basic computer skills to operate the register. </li><li>Basic math skills for sales transactions. </li><li>Ability to stand and walk for long periods of time. </li><li>Requires critical thinking skills-decisive judgement-handle a stressful environment and ability to work with minimal or no supervision </li></ul> <p>Additional Information</p> <ul> <li>Organization: Henry Ford Health St. John Hospital </li><li>Department: Gift Shop 001 </li><li>Shift: Rotating </li><li>Union Code: Not Applicable </li></ul>
