<p>Job Description:</p> <p>Potential Adjunct Faculty</p> <p>Applications for this position will be held in applicant pools, whenever a position opens up in any given discipline, the pool of applicants will be consulted when searching for candidates to fill any position. Applicants will not be notified of their status unless they are contacted to come in for an interview, which might occur soon after applying or as much as a year later. have on file on an as needed basis.</p> <p>Adjunct Faculty Postings are for potential part-time, non-benefited, positions during the 2025-2026 academic years.</p> <p>Nursing CNA Adjunct member will teach assigned didactic or clinical courses, specifically in the CNA, CNA -LPN Walkway programs. The Adjunct faculty member may assist in other nursing courses based on faculty expertise and departmental needs. The Adjunct faculty should be committed to using active learning strategies and student engagement. The Adjunct faculty member will possess excellent writing and communication skills, academic credentials, technological proficiency, and the expertise to provide students in the program with the nursing skills needed for future academic and career opportunities. The Adjunct faculty member may teach at the Gardner, Leominster, campuses as well as online during the day, evening or on weekends based on program needs. The Adjunct faculty may also teach CNA course sections for dual enrollment and/or early college students either on the Gardner Campus or on site at designated high school locations in the North Central Area.</p> <p>Responsibilities</p> <ul> <li>Instruction in both traditional and non-traditional learning modes; Instructional preparation; </li><li>Assessment of student performance; including submission of final grades in a timely fashion; </li><li>An obligation on the part of the unit member to be available to students by appointment when mutually convenient; </li><li>Teaches the approved CNA curriculum from Massachusetts DPH; </li><li>Works closely with PN faculty to develop and maintain academic pathways for students. </li><li>Teaches courses at all instructional locations as assigned by the Dean of Nursing; </li><li>Participates in team-based theory preparation utilizing a wide variety of teaching methodologies, including informational technologies (Blackboard, ATI, and EHR) and active learning strategies for the integrated classroom for the students; </li><li>In collaboration with the Primary CNA instructor, designs well-developed content exams, including exam blueprinting and analysis; </li><li>In collaboration with the Primary CNA instructor and Dean in data collection and analysis and evaluation of program and course student learning outcomes to guide ongoing curriculum development. This includes identifying program outcomes, developing competency statements, writing learning objectives, and selecting appropriate learning activities and evaluation strategies; </li><li>Works effectively as part of the overall department, demonstrating positive interpersonal relationships, communication skills, and collaboration with other faculty members and clinical site staff to meet departmental and student needs; </li><li>Contributes to the development of student recruitment and admissions and evaluates student program progression, retention and graduation completion rates; </li><li>Creates clinical learning activities and supervises and evaluates students in practice learning environments based on program and course student learning outcomes; </li><li>Assures safe nursing care is provided for individuals or groups of individuals in clinical, laboratory or community settings; </li><li>In collaboration with the Primary CNA instructor, creates college laboratory learning experiences, to include high and low-fidelity simulation, for student demonstration and evaluation of clinical skills and student learning outcomes; </li><li>Fully participates in all components for MBORN compliance/approval and ACEN accreditation, including the Department of Nursing Systematic Evaluation Plan (SEP) as needed; </li><li>Actively participates in college governance and Department of Nursing committees per MCCC contract; </li><li>Maintains expertise in area of clinical specialization with ongoing professional development and/or fieldwork; </li><li>Maintain faculty credentialing requirements at all times and provides faculty file updates to Nursing Department and Human Resource Department annually.
