Through psychological assessments, interventions, and collaboration with staff, families, and external professionals, the School Psychologist works to create positive and effective educational environments that support the well-being and success of all students.</p> <p>Key Responsibilities</p> <p>Psychological Assessment:</p> <p>Conduct psychological assessments to evaluate students' academic, emotional, social, and behavioral needs, utilizing both standardized and problem-solving evaluation methods.</p> <p>Intervention and Support:</p> <p>Design and implement evidence-based interventions to address academic and behavioral challenges, continuously monitoring their effectiveness.</p> <p>Collaboration & Consultation:</p> <p>Partner with teachers, parents, administrators, and external professionals to develop and deliver effective behavioral management strategies, educational plans, and support services.</p> <p>Special Education Services:</p> <p>Provide psychological evaluations for students referred for special education programs, and contribute to IEP conferences and eligibility decisions.</p> <p>Individual & Group Counseling:</p> <p>Deliver direct psychological interventions, including individual and group counseling, to support students' mental health and emotional well-being.</p> <p>Behavioral Assessments:</p> <p>Conduct functional behavior assessments and other evaluations to identify behavioral concerns and develop targeted interventions.</p> <p>Program Development & Evaluation:</p> <p>Collaborate in the design, implementation, and evaluation of school-wide prevention programs, crisis interventions, and mental health initiatives.</p> <p>Research & Continuous Improvement:</p> <p>Engage in research and program evaluations aimed at improving psychological services and educational outcomes for students.</p> <p>Other Duties:</p> <p>Perform additional responsibilities as assigned to meet the needs of students and the educational community.</p> <p>Qualifications</p> <p>Education & Certification:</p> <p>A Master's Degree in School Psychology or Educational Psychology is required. Must possess a valid Michigan School Psychologist Certificate.</p> <p>Skills & Experience:</p> <p>Knowledge of psychological assessment methods, intervention strategies, and special education processes. Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work collaboratively with students, families, and staff.</p> <p>Method of Application:</p> <p>Applicants must apply through the online application system https://www.resa.net/employment/.
