<p>This role is responsible for ensuring that products meet high-quality standards, focusing on color consistency, texture, and material quality. The role plays a key part in maintaining product integrity and ensuring adherence to quality specifications throughout</p> <p>the production process.</p> <p>ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:</p> <p>Color Matching and Quality Control: Perform color matching and visual inspections to ensure consistency with color standards across production batches.</p> <ul> <li>Sample Preparation and Testing: Prepare samples and perform tests to evaluate color, gloss, texture, and other surface characteristics. </li><li>Inspection and Documentation: Conduct regular inspections on finished, in coming and in-process products to detect any defects or inconsistencies in color, texture, and material quality. </li><li>Process Adjustments: Work closely with production teams to adjust formulations and manufacturing processes as needed to meet quality specifications and assist production. </li><li>Data Recording and Reporting: Document inspection results and quality issues, maintaining detailed records to track quality performance over time. </li><li>Equipment Calibration: Ensure that color measurement tools and other testing equipment are calibrated and functioning correctly. </li><li>Continuous Improvement: Collaborate with the Quality Manager and production teams to identify opportunities for process improvement to enhance color consistency and product quality. </li><li>Quality Issue Resolution: Identify, investigate, and troubleshoot quality issues, providing recommendations to reduce defects and improve overall product quality. </li><li>Chip Inventories: Managed and assisted to variety of raw materials inventories monthly, quarterly and yearly </li><li>Preparing daily production: chips and toner based on schedule everyday </li></ul> <p>ENTRY REQUIREMENTS:</p> <p>Proficiency with color matching tools and quality inspection equipment, along with a solid understanding of color theory and visual color assessment. A basic knowledge of calculations such as toner ratio and unit conversions (e.g., KGS to LBS or MM to Feet) is required. Strong attention to detail and excellent visual acuity are essential for detecting subtle differences in color and product quality. The role also demands effective verbal and written communication skills for documenting and reporting findings. The ability to work collaboratively with quality and production teams is crucial, as is the capacity to analyze problems, develop solutions, and meet objectives across multiple projects. Self-motivation, strong math skills, and a sound understanding of manufacturing processes and</p> <p>chemical/physical principles are also key for success in this position.</p> <p>MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:</p> <p>EDUCATION:</p> <p>Associate Degree Required or equivalent combination of education and experience; 1yr experience may substitute for 1yr of degree</p> <p>Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Engineering, Science, or a closely related field plus two years of experience. One additional year of experience may substitute for one year of required education with a maximum substitution of four years.</p> <p>EXPERIENCE:</p> <p>3+ years</p> <p>WORKING CONDITIONS:</p> <p>PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: Continuous physical exertion is required, such as walking/pushing/climbing and lifting material or equipment of heavy weight (>50 lbs) Examples: grounds staff and EMS</p> <p>Must be able to pass Ishihara Test for Color Blindness.</p> <p>ENVIRONMENT: Located in an environment with regular exposure to fumes or odors, temperature extremes, or loud noises which cause noticeable discomfort or moderate risk of accident or illness.
