<p>Job Details</p> <p>Job FamilyFAC - Part-Time Faculty, Credit ClassesGradeP1Salary$54.37 - Base RateDepartmentDental HygieneReports ToDepartment ChairpersonClosing DatePosted on an ongoing basisFLSA StatusExempt - Not Eligible for Overtime CompensationFirst Review DateJune 5, 2025</p> <p>Position Overview</p> <p>The Adjunct Faculty member supervises students in clinical settings</p> <p>Courses may be taught in an array of teaching modalities: MDC In-Person, MDC Live (Learning Interactively in a Virtual Environment), MDC Online (online delivery) and Blended Classes.</p> <p>What you will be doing</p> <ul> <li>Prepares course schedule </li><li>Evaluates and advises students </li><li>Prepares exams </li><li>Prepares syllabus </li><li>Monitors class roster </li><li>Maintains schedule that allows for student meetings </li><li>Schedules laboratory sessions for skills component of course </li><li>Teaches in lecture and laboratory settings; blended and virtual environments </li><li>Disseminates information and recruits students for service-learning initiatives </li><li>Assesses student performance in the clinical setting </li><li>Performs other duties as assigned </li></ul> <p>What you need to succeed</p> <ul> <li>Master's degree in any field and Bachelor's degree in Dental Hygiene; and Valid State of Florida Dental Hygiene licensure; and 3 years of full-time work and/or instructional experience in field, or Bachelor's degree in Dental Hygiene; or Bachelor's degree in any field and Associate degree in Dental Hygiene from a Commission on Dental Accreditation (CODA) accredited program; and Valid State of Florida Dental Hygiene licensure; and three (3) years of full-time work and/or instructional experience </li><li>All educational degrees must be from a regionally accredited institution </li><li>Possess excellent and effective communication skills (written and verbal) </li><li>Ability to work well with students, faculty, staff and the community </li><li>Ability to work a flexible schedule which may include evening and weekend assignments </li><li>Ability to work in a multi-ethnic/multi-cultural environment </li></ul> <p>Preferences</p> <ul> <li>For best consideration upload your unofficial transcripts along with cover letter and resume.
