<p>Position Title: Interventional Radiologist - Diagnostic & Interventional Radiology Location: MelroseWakefield Hospital (Tufts Medicine), Melrose, MA Department: Department of Radiology Position Type: Full-Time Academic Rank: Assistant, Associate, or Full Professor (commensurate with experience)</p> <p>Position Overview</p> <p>Tufts Medical Center and Tufts Medicine are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Interventional Radiologist to join our Department of Radiology, with primary clinical responsibilities based at MelroseWakefield Hospital (MWH). This full-time position offers the unique opportunity to practice in a thriving community hospital environment while maintaining strong academic affiliation and collaboration with Tufts Medical Center in Boston.</p> <p>The ideal candidate will be proficient across a broad range of interventional radiology procedures and interested in providing high-quality, patient-centered care in a community setting. This role includes procedural work, diagnostic imaging, inpatient and outpatient consultations, and opportunities for teaching, collaboration, and professional development through the Tufts academic system.</p> <p>Key Responsibilities</p> <ul> <li>Perform a broad spectrum of interventional procedures -including vascular access, biopsies, drainages, embolization, and other minimally invasive therapies- within a community hospital setting. </li><li>Interpret diagnostic imaging studies to support safe and effective procedural planning. </li><li>Provide inpatient and outpatient IR consultations, evaluate patients pre- and post-procedure, and support continuity of care. </li><li>Collaborate closely with local care teams at MelroseWakefield Hospital, including surgery, emergency medicine, oncology, and primary care. </li><li>Participate in multidisciplinary discussions, rounds, and case reviews to support coordinated, high-quality patient care. </li><li>Provide clear patient education regarding procedures, expectations, and follow-up plans. </li><li>Engage in quality improvement initiatives and help support continued program development in community-based interventional radiology. </li><li>Maintain strong collaboration with Tufts Medical Center faculty, with optional participation in academic activities, teaching, and research depending on interest. </li><li>Ensure thorough and accurate clinical documentation in accordance with hospital and system standards. </li></ul> <p>Qualifications</p> <ul> <li>MD or DO degree. </li><li>Board-certified or board-eligible in Diagnostic Radiology with fellowship training in Interventional Radiology </li><li>Strong procedural and diagnostic skills applicable to a community hospital practice. </li><li>Ability to work independently while thriving in a collaborative, team-oriented environment. </li><li>Excellent communication, interpersonal, and patient care skills. </li><li>Commitment to compassionate, high-quality care for a diverse patient population. </li><li>Interest in participating in academic or educational activities through Tufts Medical Center is welcomed but not required. </li></ul> <p>Academic rank and compensation will be commensurate with qualifications and experience.</p> <p>Apply: Please submit application/CV via this job post or email CV directly to Catrina Morgan, Senior Physician Recruiter at Catrina.Morgan@tuftsmedicine.org</p> <p>The salary range for this position is $425,000.00 - $450,000.00 annually.
