<p>Somerset County Public Schools is recruiting ESOL Teachers for the 2026-2027 school year. You will implement instruction consistent with the goals and mission of Somerset County Public Schools, assisting students in making cultural and linguistic transitions by enhancing their knowledge of social, academic, and cultural practices.</p> <p>Essential Duties and Responsibilities:</p> <ul> <li>Instructional Excellence: Provide rigorous Language Acquisition instruction to Multilingual Learners (MLs) aligned with Maryland College and Career Readiness Standards and WIDA English Language Development Standards. </li><li>Screening & Placement: Screen potential ML students for program placement and implement all procedures prescribed by MSDE and SCPS. </li><li>Data-Driven Planning: Analyze data to target instruction, differentiate learning, and inform school leadership teams on effective teaching practices. </li><li>Compliance & Documentation: Maintain all required documentation for every ML student, including recommendations for accommodations, adaptations, and special resources for formal assessments. </li><li>Consultation & Advocacy: Serve as a language specialist and liaison between families and the school.
