Dispatches shipments to trucking companies. Reports to Plant Manager</p> <p>ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES</p> <ul> <li>Supervises shipping and receiving functions and stock pulling functions </li><li>Ensures correct shipment of orders to customers </li><li>Ensures proper packaging of finished goods </li><li>Manages warehousing functions of finished product </li><li>Dispatches outbound shipments </li><li>Coordinates inbound pickups and unloading </li><li>Approves employee work hours and payroll </li><li>Approves freight invoices </li><li>Manages operation (including maintenance) of forklift fleet </li><li>Works with sales to manage truck routes and freight costs </li><li>Assigns duties and examines work </li><li>Ensures safety of all employees </li><li>Provides training to new and existing employees </li><li>Approves hours of work and payroll </li><li>Maintains good housekeeping of areas assigned </li><li>Enforces all rules and regulations </li><li>Any other duties required by Plant Manager </li></ul> <p>SAFETY</p> <ul> <li>Works safely and follows all safety rules and operational procedures. </li><li>Wears and maintains all required PPE. </li><li>Keeps assigned work area clean at all times. </li><li>Understands all safety devices and their operation. Notifies management if safety devices are malfunctioning or missing prior to operation. </li><li>Safely operates all lifting devices per manufacturing specifications. </li><li>Enforces all safety rules and regulations. </li></ul> <p>SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES</p> <ul> <li>Supervises shipping employees and spends the majority of his/her time on the production floor. </li></ul>
