You will assist with direct patient care as directed, ensuring everyone feels comfortable and at ease throughout their appointment and exam. In this role, your ability to facilitate a welcoming environment can make a difference in the lives of Cleveland Clinic patients every day.</p> <p>A caregiver in this position works days from 8:00AM - 4:30PM.</p> <p>A caregiver who excels in this role will:</p> <ul> <li>Receive and prepares patient for examination or treatment. </li><li>Perform routine screening tests. </li><li>Document patient information in the patient medical record. </li><li>Perform stocking, maintenance and other related duties as assigned, including maintaining exam rooms, equipment and supplies. </li></ul> <p>Minimum qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:</p> <ul> <li>High School Diploma/GED </li><li>Successful completion of the Certified Ophthalmic Assistant written exam </li><li>Recent graduate of an Ophthalmic Technology Program </li><li>Certified Ophthalmic Assistant (COA) by the Joint Commission on Allied Health Personnel in Ophthalmology (JCAHPO). </li><li>One year of experience providing direct care under the supervision of an Ophthalmologist </li></ul> <p>Our caregivers continue to create the best outcomes for our patients across each of our facilities.
