As a Surgical Services Support Technician II on this dynamic team, you will help create a safe and sterile environment for surgical operations and other procedures. This position is an excellent entry point into Nursing Support as you explore the endless possibilities at Cleveland Clinic.</p> <p>A caregiver in this position works, 2:00pm-10:30pm, including rotating weekends and holiday requirements.</p> <p>A caregiver who excels in this role will:</p> <ul> <li> <p>Oversee and safely transport patients to designated areas per nursing request.</p> </li><li> <p>Use a variety of technical skills to assist the nursing staff during surgical cases.</p> </li><li> <p>Maintain and control Support Services equipment and supplies.</p> </li><li> <p>Maintain an aesthetically safe and sanitary OR environment.</p> </li><li> <p>Oversee, escort and direct customers to the appropriate source of assistance.</p> </li><li> <p>Assist the Supervisor with daily staffing.</p> </li><li> <p>Monitor and document quality outcomes.</p> </li><li> <p>Oversee and complete patient tracking through electronic software tools.</p> </li><li> <p>Coordinate and maintain Uniform Room, including locker assignments and scrubs for all OR personnel.</p> </li><li> <p>Properly handle and dispose of hazardous waste.</p> </li><li> <p>Comply with special cleaning requests for radioactive waste and infection control surgical cases.</p> </li></ul> <p>Minimum qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:</p> <ul> <li> <p>High School Diploma or GED</p> </li><li> <p>Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification through the American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross within new hire period</p> </li><li> <p>One year of experience as a Surgical Services Support Technician I or two years of experience as a leader following through with projects and managing staff</p> </li><li> <p>One year of customer service experience</p> </li></ul> <p>Our caregivers continue to create the best outcomes for our patients across each of our facilities.
