<p>A CMF measures a patient and properly fits, dispenses, and adjusts external breast prostheses, bras, and related supplies. Trained and certified mastectomy fitters are integral to the physical and emotional well-being of patients, providing instruction and training on how to properly use and maintain post-mastectomy devices.</p> <p>Job Description</p> <p>Summary</p> <p>A CMF measures a patient and properly fits, dispenses, and adjusts external breast prostheses, bras, and related supplies. Trained and certified mastectomy fitters are integral to the physical and emotional well-being of patients, providing instruction and training on how to properly use and maintain post-mastectomy devices.</p> <p>Education</p> <p>High School diploma or GED</p> <p>Certification, Registration, and Licensure</p> <p>Certified Mastectomy Fitter (CMF) through American Board for Certification in Orthotics, Prosthetics, & Pedorthics (ABC) or the Board of Certification/Accreditation (BOC).</p> <p>Experience</p> <p>Newly certified Mastectomy Fitters encouraged to apply</p> <p>Preferred 1-2 years experience</p> <p>Responsibilities</p> <ul> <li> <p>Healthcare professional who specializes in breast prostheses, post mastectomy and post reduction products/services.</p> </li><li> <p>Direct on-hands contact with patients</p> </li><li> <p>Taking measurements for mastectomy and/or breast reduction products</p> </li><li> <p>Ensures a proper fit for each patient; adjust, or modify external breast prostheses, bras, and related supplies.</p> </li><li> <p>Follow up with patients for appointments to evaluate the fit and make adjustments as needed.</p> </li><li> <p>Provides patient education and services on how to properly use and maintain different types of products to help achieve comfort and symmetry.</p> </li><li> <p>Experience using various software packages including electronic medical records and Microsoft suite.</p> </li><li> <p>Activities include the purchase and management of inventory and office supplies, cash management, coding, billing, charge entry and payment posting.</p> </li><li> <p>Maintain orderly, clean and attractive Boutique environment.</p> </li><li> <p>Ensure compliance with DNV and HIPPA regulations</p> </li><li> <p>Develops, implements and monitors this patient focused service to promote a supportive and healing environment that enhances customer and staff satisfaction.</p> </li><li> <p>Communicate with patients, staff and care providers in order to relay appropriate information.</p> </li><li> <p>Assist in marketing and promotes patient related products to Concord Hospital medical staff</p> </li><li> <p>Work in cooperation and under the supervision of the Director of Cancer Center and Boutique Manager</p> </li><li> <p>Serve as a resource to other staff members, patients and volunteers.</p> </li></ul> <p>Concord Hospital is an Equal Employment Opportunity employer.
