The Radiology Tech Assistant supports the goals of the department and hospital by through excellent customer relations skills.</p> <p>Essential Functions</p> <ul> <li>Processes exposed radiographic cassettes in a timely and accurate manner. </li><li>Able to utilize HIS/RIS/PACS in order to provide best patient care. </li><li>Retrieves images and reports as requested by ULH customers in a timely manner. </li><li>Copies/prints radiographs as requested in a timely manner. </li><li>Answers phone using appropriate customer relations skills and routes calls to appropriate location as needed. </li><li>Processes requisitions in an accurate and timely manner. </li><li>Ensures work area is kept clean, neat and orderly, and stocked with supplies. </li><li>Maintains an ethical and professional relationship with ULH customers. </li><li>Assists technologist in any manner that expedites patient examination to include transporting, lifting/moving patients, and completing exams. </li><li>Ensures linen hampers are emptied at end of the respective shift. </li><li>Attends and participates in department staff meetings. </li><li>Assists in orienting new employees. </li><li>Takes an active role in gaining or maintaining proficiency in hospital and radiology equipment and information systems needed in performance of job responsibilities. </li><li>Presents a positive image of the hospital and department. </li><li>Performs other duties as assigned. </li></ul> <p>Additional Job Description:</p> <p>Education / Accreditation / Licensure:</p> <ul> <li>High School graduate or equivalent (required) </li></ul> <p>Experience:</p> <ul> <li>One year in a hospital and previous clerical experience (preferred) </li><li>Medical terminology (preferred) </li></ul>
