<p>SRC, Inc. is seeking a Network Administrator to work in our corporate headquarters located in Syracuse, NY. The selected candidate will support the secure and stable operation of SRC's data, voice and wireless infrastructure.</p> <p>What You'll Do</p> <ul> <li>Maintain and support routers, firewalls, and switches </li><li>Deploy switches and other network equipment </li><li>Support wired network connections for datacenter and end-user devices including workstations, printers, and network appliances. </li><li>Configuration and support of enterprise Wi-Fi network technologies </li><li>Maintenance of voice server, VoIP endpoints, and SIP trunks </li><li>Monitor network performance (availability, utilization, and latency) </li><li>Follow, create, and update network policies and procedures </li><li>Respond to tickets, system notifications, and critical alerts </li><li>Troubleshoot and resolve complex networking problems </li><li>Support after-hours incidents as needed </li></ul> <p>What You'll Bring</p> <ul> <li>Bachelor's degree in computer science, computer engineering or a related field </li><li>0-3 years of experience in an IT infrastructure environment </li><li>Understanding of network fundamentals (TCP/IP, OSI Model, VLANs, switching, routing, VoIP) </li><li>Ability to assist with various projects and daily technical tasks </li><li>Self-motivation to work with little or no supervision </li><li>Effective communication and team collaboration skills </li><li>DoD 8570 IAT Level 2 certification required or obtained within six months of employment </li><li>Occasional travel 5-10% </li></ul> <p>Ways to Stand Out - Preferred Requirements</p> <ul> <li>Experience with Fortinet, Avaya, and Cisco </li><li>Understanding of advanced protocols and services including MPLS, SD-WAN, and BGP </li></ul> <p>What Sets Us Apart?</p> <p>SRC, Inc., a not-for-profit research and development company, combines information, science, technology and ingenuity to solve "impossible" problems in the areas of defense, environment and intelligence.
