<p>Job Title: Production Chemist</p> <p>Job Description</p> <p>We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Production Chemist to join our team. The role involves performing chemical synthesis on a multi-kilo scale, ensuring compliance with GMP standards, and working closely with Chemical Engineers to produce R&D API. This position offers an exciting opportunity to advance within the group, either on the Chemistry or Production side.</p> <p>Responsibilities</p> <ul> <li>Perform chemical synthesis on a multi-kilo scale and execute via batch record. </li><li>Maintain documentation standards to meet GMP requirements, including recording charges/transfers and documenting key observations. </li><li>Set up, operate, and clean all plant equipment, including reactors, centrifuges, filter dryers, shelf dryers, and milling equipment. </li><li>Participate in staging raw materials, loading materials into equipment, and unloading intermediates and products from dryers. </li><li>Read and interpret documents, write routine reports and correspondence, and speak effectively in a group setting. </li><li>Collaborate with Chemical Engineers to produce R&D API. </li></ul> <p>Essential Skills</p> <ul> <li>Proficiency in chemical synthesis and GMP compliance. </li><li>Experience with equipment such as reactors, centrifuges, and chromatography. </li><li>Strong documentation and communication skills. </li><li>Mechanical aptitude and basic math proficiency. </li><li>Ability to multitask, prioritize, and adapt to changing situations. </li></ul> <p>Additional Skills & Qualifications</p> <ul> <li>Associates or Bachelor's degree in chemistry or engineering preferred. </li><li>Experience in a production facility (chemical, pharmaceutical, or food) preferred. </li><li>Familiarity with Microsoft Office and SAP. </li><li>Ability to lift up to fifty (50) pounds and use a respirator. </li><li>Willingness to undergo annual physical and drug screening. </li><li>Experience in pharmaceutical manufacturing and working with reactors is a plus. </li></ul> <p>Work Environment</p> <p>This position operates on the 2nd shift from 2:00pm to 10:30/11:00pm. The work environment is a small but growing company with new funding and opportunities following a recent acquisition. The role involves working in a lab connected to the QC lab with limited interaction, and a small production area located across the parking lot.
