As a member of our redesigned Talent Acquisition team you will execute the talent strategy across all position types with a focus on delivering a high level of service and an exceptional candidate experience.</p> <p>Primary Purpose</p> <p>The Talent Acquisition Specialist is an integral part of RIC's ongoing efforts to recruit, hire, onboard, and retain, talented employees who support the mission of the college. This role performs duties for full cycle recruiting and onboarding efforts for faculty and staff roles. The role also includes responsibility for special projects that support the employee experience.</p> <p>Essential Duties</p> <p>Recruiting, Hiring and Onboarding:</p> <ul> <li>Working collaboratively with stakeholders, identify optimal and creative methods of recruitment for all faculty and staff positions including classified and part-time positions. </li><li>Working collaboratively with stakeholders to develop materials and plan events that will enhance and maximize recruiting efforts. </li><li>Develop and maintain RIC's employer brand in order to attract and retain top talent. </li><li>Facilitate the recruiting, onboarding hiring process for all classifications (non-classified, classified, faculty and part time)., </li><li>Act as main point of contact for all matters relating to a request to fill a position. Requisition process, posting, advertising, preparing applicant files for search committee action, supporting search committees and hiring panels including applicant screening and interview scheduling. </li><li>Assist managers with developing, reviewing and revising all job descriptions. Ensure that requirements, knowledge, skills and abilities are consistent and equitable with level of paygrade and classification </li><li>In conjunction with the Talent Manager, work with search committees and hiring managers on: hiring process including but not limited to, reviewing/approving evaluation criteria and interview questions. Ensure that evaluation of applicants is in accordance with qualifications listed. Review applicant pools to ensure that every search is being conducted in a fair and equitable manner. </li><li>Assist with reviewing all search documents to ensure compliance of policies, processes, and bargaining union contracts </li><li>In collaboration with the Talent Manager identify and establish recruitment networks to diversify and develop applicant pool and provide guidance in targeted outreach for specialized talent </li><li>Responsible for continuously improving RIC's hiring process to ensure a streamlined and efficient process by leveraging technology </li><li>Responsible for all aspects of PeopleAdmin, RIC's electronic applicant tracking and talent acquisition system. Maintain current knowledge, design and maintain workflows within the platform to ensure continuous improvement and implement strategy to automate hiring process. Act as subject matter expert and respond to inquiries from all PeopleAdmin users. </li><li>Develop and prepare regular and ad hoc reports and metrics. Participate in or facilitate special projects. </li><li>Responsible for continuously improving RIC's hiring process to ensure a streamlined and efficient process by leveraging technology. </li><li>Review, monitor and process RIC's part-time payroll, honorarium and stipend authorizations to ensure eligibility for employment and appropriate rates of pay. Support efficient onboarding all new Part-Time hires </li><li>Facilitate offer process ensuring compliance on all applicant analysis; counseling and advising in the areas of staff classification and compensation, including budgetary, equity and EEO/AA considerations; reviewing and analyzing job descriptions to determine classification status; and recommending competitive pay grade and pay range placement for positions. </li></ul> <p>Department-Support Duties:</p> <ul> <li>Responsible for maintaining job descriptions and employment website and all pages related to employment, including but not limited to, job descriptions, resources for hiring managers and search committees web pages. </li><li>Prepare and/or design standard and specialized reports using word processing and spreadsheets. </li><li>Respond to general questions from employees and the public concerning HR matters and serve as back up to department staff during periods of absence or peak periods. </li></ul> <p>Occasional Duties</p> <ul> <li>Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned by HR Leadership </li></ul> <p>Required Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities</p> <ul> <li>Will have a working knowledge of MS Office applications and applicant tracking system(s). </li><li>Will possess exceptional interpersonal and communication skills. </li><li>Will demonstrate excellence in collaborative relationships. </li><li>Will be a self-starter and able to work under pressure. </li><li>Will have the ability to maintain the strictest confidentiality of information. </li><li>Demonstrated knowledge of laws and regulations impacting the hiring/recruitment function </li><li>High level of attention to detail and ability to manage workload during multiple projects </li></ul> <p>Required Qualifications</p> <ul> <li>Associate's/Bachelor's degree and four (4) years of relevant experience or, </li><li>Minimum three (3) years of experience working in Human Resources, with experience in employment and recruitment practices and in managing multiple recruitment and selection processes </li></ul> <p>Preferred Qualifications</p> <ul> <li>Full cycle recruiting experience including sourcing and interviewing candidates </li></ul> <p>Environmental Conditions</p> <p>The employee is not exposed to known adverse environmental conditions.</p>
