<p>Madden Industrial Craftsmen is seeking a Project Accountant for our client, a heavy industrial fabrication and field services company, in NE Portland, OR. This role focuses on project-based accounting, including invoicing, job costing, accounts payable/receivable, and financial tracking across multiple job sites. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with an accounting background to grow into more advanced accounting and financial responsibilities within a fast-paced industrial environment.</p> <p>Pay & Schedule</p> <p>Pay: $27-$31/hour DOE</p> <p>Shift: Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM</p> <p>Position Type: Full-Time</p> <p>Key Responsibilities</p> <ul> <li> <p>Manage purchase orders (POs) including creation, tracking, and documentation across multiple locations</p> </li><li> <p>Enter and maintain purchase orders and sales orders in QuickBooks</p> </li><li> <p>Assign sales order numbers and support job costing, job tracking, and historical order inquiries</p> </li><li> <p>Process invoicing for completed work and ensure billing accuracy in coordination with operations teams</p> </li><li> <p>Manage and monitor time entry across multiple locations to support payroll and job costing</p> </li><li> <p>Resolve missing or incorrect time entries with field supervisors and project teams</p> </li><li> <p>Enter vendor invoices and support accounts payable (AP) functions</p> </li><li> <p>Reconcile company credit card transactions and maintain accurate financial records</p> </li><li> <p>Assist with accounts receivable (AR) processes and financial tracking</p> </li><li> <p>Support general ledger (GL) activities including reconciliations, analysis, and reporting</p> </li><li> <p>Assist with bank reconciliations, month-end, and year-end accounting processes</p> </li><li> <p>Coordinate travel arrangements including flights, hotels, and rental vehicles for field teams</p> </li><li> <p>Handle time-sensitive and occasional after-hours travel changes and requests</p> </li><li> <p>Maintain organized financial and project documentation across all locations</p> </li></ul> <p>Required Qualifications</p> <ul> <li> <p>Bachelor's degree in Business, Accounting, or Finance with accounting-focused coursework (major or minor required)</p> </li><li> <p>Strong proficiency with Microsoft Excel</p> </li><li> <p>Experience with QuickBooks or similar accounting software</p> </li><li> <p>Strong organizational skills and attention to detail</p> </li><li> <p>Ability to manage multiple priorities across locations and deadlines</p> </li><li> <p>Clear and professional communication skills</p> </li><li> <p>Ability to handle confidential financial and personnel information</p> </li><li> <p>Ability to work independently and take initiative in a fast-paced environment</p> </li></ul> <p>Preferred Qualifications</p> <ul> <li> <p>Internship or experience in accounting, finance, or project-based environments</p> </li><li> <p>Familiarity with job costing and project accounting</p> </li><li> <p>Experience in construction, fabrication, or multi-location operations</p> </li><li> <p>Exposure to general ledger, reconciliations, or financial reporting</p> </li></ul> <p>Benefits</p> <ul> <li> <p>Medical</p> </li><li> <p>Dental</p> </li><li> <p>Paid Sick Leave</p> </li><li> <p>Paid Holidays</p> </li><li> <p>401(k)</p> </li></ul> <p>Work Environment</p> <p>This role operates in an office environment supporting field-based project operations across multiple locations.
