Ascot exists to solve for our clients' brightest tomorrow, through agility, collaboration, resilience, and discipline</p> <p>Job Summary:</p> <p>Ascot's IT Transformation Team is seeking a motivated Quality Assurance Manager who will report to the VP, US Transformation Office. The Quality Assurance Manager will be responsible for molding and building the established testing function at Ascot. This role will be in the office with a hybrid work schedule.</p> <p>Responsibilities:</p> <ul> <li>Responsible for the planning and execution of project/ release testing activities. </li><li>Prioritization of tasks according to business needs. </li><li>Capacity planning, allocation of tasks and activities, tracking and reporting. </li><li>Manage client, partners and other project stakeholders and handle risks and issues and take appropriate project related decisions. </li><li>Lead the transformation testing efforts across programs. </li><li>Lead and deliver underwriting and rating initiatives, ensuring alignment with business goals and technical requirements by working closely with the SI partners. </li><li>Work closely with high-level stakeholders to drive the direction and execution of testing efforts for new systems. </li><li>Take initiative in leading project meetings and workshops, engaging with stakeholders and cross-functional teams. </li><li>Manage multiple testing components, including but not limited to automation, performance testing, and overall quality assurance. </li><li>Develop, write, and execute test strategies for new platforms and systems. </li><li>Foster communication and collaboration across teams, ensuring timely resolution of issues and smooth project execution. </li><li>Monitor progress of the testing efforts, ensure deadlines are met, and adapt strategies as necessary. </li><li>Oversee the testing lifecycle from test planning, test case creation, execution, and defect management. </li><li>Document and report testing results clearly to stakeholders, providing insights into risks, progress, and outcomes. </li><li>Contribute to and lead organizational initiatives related to quality and testing capabilities. </li><li>Work with team located across shores in successfully delivering the project. </li><li>Ensure escalation processes are followed to swiftly alert all the project stakeholders to risks or issues in the project and ensure appropriate actions are taken. </li><li>Regularly report the project status to stakeholders. </li><li>Build close relationships with all levels of the organization to allow open flow of communication. </li><li>Assist with additional ad hoc projects as required. </li></ul> <p>Requirements:</p> <ul> <li> <p>Bachelor's degree or other equivalent degrees and qualifications.</p> </li><li> <p>At least 8 years' experience as a QA Manager in Insurance domain.</p> </li><li> <p>Minimum 6 years' experience in the Commercial and/or Specialty insurance industry required.</p> </li><li> <p>Exposure to different SDLCs, Agile experience is a must.</p> </li><li> <p>Must be positive, self-motivated, and possess strong interpersonal and communication skills.</p> </li><li> <p>Highly customer-centric both internally and externally.</p> </li><li> <p>Strong problem solving and decision-making abilities.</p> </li><li> <p>Strong collaborative skills in a fast-paced team-centric environment.</p> </li><li> <p>Strong leadership experience with the ability to drive testing efforts independently and coordinate with senior stakeholders.</p> </li><li> <p>Excellent communication skills, with the ability to present complex technical information to both technical and non-technical audiences.</p> </li><li> <p>Proficient in Microsoft Office, test management, functional and automated testing tools.</p> </li><li> <p>This position may be filled at a different level, depending on experience*</p> </li></ul> <p>Compensation</p> <p>Actual base pay could vary and may be above or below the listed range based on factors including but not limited to experience, subject matter expertise, and skills. The base pay is just one component of Ascot's total compensation package for employees.
