<p>The Driver plays a vital role in safely transporting patients on and off the premises. They will be trained as a Behavioral Health Tech and work on the unit when not transporting patients.</p> <p>Part-Time Position</p> <p>Responsible for safely transporting patients to and from appointments, activity trips, airport shuttle service and other special events.</p> <p>ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:</p> <p>Pick up or transports visitors or staff as needed.</p> <p>Transport patients for admissions and discharges.</p> <p>Assure that all passengers are wearing seatbelts before the vehicle is started.</p> <p>Drive company facility vehicle to pick-up supplies or equipment, as needed.</p> <p>Respond and adhere to "on call" schedule as required.</p> <p>Accurately and appropriately complete all transportation documentation.</p> <p>Maintain vehicle log(s) and report maintenance issues to appropriate facility staff.</p> <p>Ensure all company vehicles are kept clean and functional.</p> <p>Demonstrate a positive, empathetic and professional attitude towards customers always.? When patient needs are not met, acknowledge and work to resolve complaints.? Recognize that patient safety is a top priority.</p> <p>OTHER FUNCTIONS:</p> <p>Perform other functions and tasks as assigned.</p> <p>EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE/SKILL REQUIREMENTS:</p> <p>High school diploma or equivalent required.</p> <p>LICENSES/DESIGNATIONS/CERTIFICATIONS:</p> <p>Valid State Driver's License required.</p> <p>CPR and de-escalation/restraint certification required (training available upon hire and offered by facility).</p> <p>First aid may be required based on state or facility.</p> <p>ADDITIONAL REGULATORY REQUIREMENTS:</p> <p>Minimum 21 years of age.</p> <p>Must have and maintain a valid Indiana driver's license and maintain automobile insurance coverage.</p> <p>Equal Opportunity Employer/Protected Veterans/Individuals with Disabilities</p> <p>This employer is required to notify all applicants of their rights pursuant to federal employment laws.
