<p>Job Description</p> <p>Overview</p> <p>About the Role</p> <p>Indiana University Health is seeking a dynamic and strategic leader to serve as the Director - Clinical Operations for the NICU at Riley Hospital. Reporting directly to the Vice President - Chief Nursing Officer, Riley Hospital, and supporting the Associate Chief Nursing Officer, the Director- Clinical Operations provides administrative oversight of the NICU's multi-disciplinary teams.</p> <p>This leader will optimize clinical operations, enhance patient experience, and drive quality improvement initiatives aligned with our mission to improve health outcomes for children and families. The Director will foster a collaborative environment, lead a team of managers and staff, and act as a key change agent in a fast-paced, high-capacity setting.</p> <p>This position offers a unique opportunity to impact high-volume, complex neonatal care within a nationally recognized pediatric environment. The ideal candidate is a transformational leader with a strong background in operational excellence, change management, and a passion for advancing quality and safety in a highly matrixed organization.</p> <p>Candidate Qualifications</p> <p>Candidates for the position will be selected from a diverse pool and will be evaluated according to the following criteria and competencies.</p> <ul> <li> <p>Master of Nursing or related field is required or actively enrolled.</p> </li><li> <p>Requires an active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Indiana or an active Nurse Licensure Compact (NLC) RN license.</p> </li><li> <p>Requires that the RN has graduated from a nationally accredited nursing program.</p> </li><li> <p>Requires Basic Life Support certification through the AHA.</p> </li><li> <p>Other advanced life support certifications may be required per unit/department specialty according to patient care policies.</p> </li><li> <p>Requires completion Clinical Specialty Professional Certification within 1 year upon meeting eligibility requirements.</p> </li><li> <p>Requires 7-10 years of relevant experience.</p> </li></ul> <p>Preferred Qualifications</p> <ul> <li>NICU or pediatric healthcare background highly desirable. </li><li>Experience leading large teams in a hospital setting with a focus on neonatal or pediatric care. </li><li>Ability to translate data into actionable quality improvement initiatives. </li><li>Change agent with a resilient, adaptable leadership style. </li></ul> <p>Why Join Us</p> <p>Indiana University Health is unlike any other healthcare system and we're looking for team members who share the things that matter most to us.
