<p>The RFP Bid Manager is an independent contributor responsible for overseeing and coordinating comprehensive responses to requests for proposals (RFPs) and requests for information (RFIs) from potential clients. This role involves crafting detailed and compelling responses, leading cross-functional teams of subject matter experts, and facilitating bid calls to ensure the delivery of precise and technically accurate information. By applying strategic sales techniques, the RFP Bid Manager ensures that responses are tailored to address the specific needs and goals of clients. The RFP Bid Manager applies industry best practices to maintain high standards of quality and compliance throughout the proposal process.</p> <ol> <li> <p>Opportunity Management: Utilize industry's best practices to manage responses to RFPs, RFIs, and questionnaires, supporting opportunity development. Serve as the single point of contact for all activities in the RFP pursuit process, including planning and scheduling solution/strategy sessions, leadership reviews, and pricing reviews, with minimal direction from management on complex healthcare industry pursuits.</p> </li><li> <p>Solution Design: Collaborate with Business and Solution Architects to present compelling and well-mapped solutions that align with bid requirements, ensuring they address client needs effectively.</p> </li><li> <p>Collateral/Knowledge Management: Contribute to the maintenance of RFP library of collateral and knowledge management activities, including template creation, reusable content, and case studies. Ensure all content is up-to-date and readily available.</p> </li><li> <p>Stakeholder Management: Manage relationships with stakeholders throughout the RFP pursuit cycle, maintaining strong connections with various entities within the business development cycle.</p> </li><li> <p>Team Building: Promote team building by participating in knowledge-sharing sessions within and outside the business development group and attending relevant training programs.</p> </li><li> <p>Knowledge Sharing: Provide mentoring and coaching support to team members, fostering a collaborative and growth-oriented environment.</p> </li></ol> <p>Education: Bachelor's degree in a healthcare-related discipline, business, English, journalism, marketing, or technology.</p> <p>Experience: Minimum of 2+ years of proposal management experience within the healthcare industry, IT infrastructure, or commercialized software products.</p> <p>Competencies:</p> <ul> <li>Proficient in Microsoft Office tools. </li><li>APMP or Shipley Certification and familiarity with proposal management platforms are highly desirable. </li></ul> <p>Behavioral Competencies:</p> <ul> <li>Organized with excellent grammar, spelling, and communication skills (written and verbal). </li><li>Analytical and solutions-oriented, with a strong desire to address complex healthcare technology requests. </li><li>Ability to perform well under pressure in a deadline-driven environment. </li></ul> <p>Applications will be accepted until July 24, 2025.</p> <p>The annual salary for this position is between $112,000 - $130,000 depending on experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.</p> <p>This position is also eligible for Cognizant's discretionary annual incentive program, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant's applicable plans.</p> <p>Benefits: Cognizant offers the following benefits for this position, subject to applicable eligibility requirements:</p> <ul> <li>Medical/Dental/Vision/Life Insurance </li><li>Paid holidays plus Paid Time Off </li><li>401(k) plan and contributions </li><li>Long-term/Short-term Disability </li><li>Paid Parental Leave </li><li>Employee Stock Purchase Plan </li></ul> <p>Disclaimer: The salary, other compensation, and benefits information is accurate as of the date of this posting.
