Designs and implements dietary interventions to provide nutrition care to children and pregnant women in research studies. Administers behavioral interventions including lactation counseling and motivational interviewing. Collects and enters dietary data into nutrition analysis software. Remains informed of protocol requirements and research standards and keeps others informed.</p> </li><li> <p>Recognizes, responds to, reports, and re-evaluates changes in subject information or condition in a timely manner.</p> </li><li> <p>Collaborates and serves as a resource to subjects, families and team members regarding the study and research activities.</p> </li><li> <p>Ensures clinical interventions are administered per protocol.</p> </li><li> <p>Performs nutritional assessments and works with medical team to provide optimal nutrition care for outpatient clinic patients. Monitors the progress of assigned patients.</p> </li><li> <p>Makes referrals to and communicates with local health care team, home care companies, WIC, Medicaid, etc.</p> </li><li> <p>Educates and provides guidance to patient, family care-givers, and staff on diet, feeding regimen or other nutritional information.</p> </li><li> <p>Documents all pertinent nutritional information and notes in patient's medical records following Joint Commission standards, PES format, and departmental policies. Documents patients seen, procedures and activities performed and time spent on each.</p> </li><li> <p>Provides education and training for co-workers, medical faculty, medical students and residents, dietetic interns, other health care personnel and the community.</p> </li><li> <p>Performs other duties as assigned.</p> </li></ol>
